AceShowbiz - June Shannon a.k.a. Mama June has everything, including new body and new man. The "Mama June: From Not to Hot" star happily talked about her new boyfriend during her appearance on E!'s Daily Pop on Thursday, January 11.
"He's very, very awesome," the 38-year-old reality TV star said of Geno Doak. "He actually restored my faith and the girls' faith in men. It's the little things...he is above and beyond anything that I could ever expect."
The mother of Alana Thompson a.k.a. Honey Boo Boo revealed that she and 42-year-old Geno "honestly were just wanting to be friends." However, she added that their friendship took a romantic turn after "things just worked out."
June further revealed more details about her new relationship to Justin Sylvester and Morgan Stewart. June, who dropped 300 lbs in a drastic body transformation, shared that she met Geno, a Georgia-based home remodeling company owner, through mutual friends.
When asked if her ex Sugar Bear a.k.a. Mike Thompson had met her new boyfriend, June said that he had. However, she claimed that she didn't "care" what Sugar Bear's thinking about her new romance. "As long as I'm happy and the girls are happy at the end of the day, that's all that matters to me," June opened up.
Radar Online reported that it turned out that it was not the first time the new couple dated. A source told the site the pair dated in late 2015. The source added that June and Geno first met when June hired the hunky handyman to fix up her Hampton, Georgia home.
According to the source, June rekindled her romance with the single parent last year. Geno is a father to an adult son and two daughters.
There isn't much detail about Geno, but don't get too worried. June's new hunky man is expected to appear in the second season of "Mama June: From Not to Hot" which is scheduled to premiere on January 12 at 9 P.M. on WE tv.
