'Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating,' the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' star says in a statement, adding, 'We tried hard for a long time, and we're really disappointed.'

AceShowbiz - It's a sad day for huge fans of adorable couple Chris Pratt and Anna Faris. The "Jurassic World" actor took to Facebook on Sunday, August 6 to announce that he and his wife "are legally separating" after eight years of marriage.
"Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating," he wrote. "We tried hard for a long time, and we're really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another."
Anna posted the same statement on her Twitter account. They share a son, Jack Pratt, who was born in August 2012.

Fans are understandably shocked to hear the news. "This better be Fake News otherwise I'm calling out of work tomorrow I cannot handle this...," one responded to Anna's tweet. Many others posted crying GIFs to express their feelings.
Chris and Anna started dating after meeting on the set of "Take Me Home Tonight" in 2007. They got engaged in late 2008 and married in Bali on July 9, 2009.
Last year, Anna gushed about Chris when speaking to the Huffington Post. "He is sexy, but more importantly he's a great person," she said. "When I was falling in love with him, I loved how kind he was to people. I loved how smart he is, but he's not pretentious at all. He doesn't wear that as a badge-he kind of lets people slowly discover it."
She continued, "He's humble, and he's a great leader, and he's an incredible father and a great husband. And I feel like, after years of dating people that weren't the best for me, I found somebody who's love I could really accept."
