Chris is being sued by a photog who claims that the Coldplay lead singer purposefully crashed into him outside Giorgio Baldi restaurant in L.A. earlier this year.

AceShowbiz - A photog is suing Chris Martin for a hit-and-run accident in Los Angeles which happened earlier this year. In a lawsuit obtained by TMZ, the photog named Richard Terry accused the Coldplay lead singer of purposefully hitting him with his car because he "has a thing" against the media.

Back in January, Richard came close to Giorgio Baldi restaurant in L.A. when he spotted Chris and his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow leaving the restaurant and getting into their car. The photog got very close to the car when Chris, who sat in the driver seat, started the engine. As Richard was too close to the car, he was hit when the car turned right.

Richard claimed that the British singer intentionally "turned his wheel sharply to the right, causing the jeep to jump the sidewalk and hit" him, the news outlet reported. The photog was totally unhappy that Chris left the scene immediately. He also wrote in his lawsuit that the 38-year-old musician has "a significant history of repeated and ongoing violent acts against entertainment news people."

Though there were a number of photogs around the venue, there was only one photog who took some snaps of the incident from across the street. It made some people argue that it was a set up - a ploy made by Richard and the other photog to take advantage from Chris.
