AceShowbiz - Amy Pascal is working on a movie about Gamergate. According to Deadline, the former Sony co-chairperson is producing the film that will be based on game developer Zoe Quinn's memoir "Crash Override: How to Save the Internet From Itself".
The movie, which may be titled "Control Alt Delete", will tell the real story of how Quinn became a target of online bullying after a blog post by her ex-boyfriend went viral. Scarlett Johansson is reportedly among young actresses eyed to play the game designer.
Prior to the Gamergate, Quinn was best known for indie games like "Depression Quest". Last year, her ex-boyfriend penned an essay accusing her of having a relationship with a gaming journalist in attempt to get positive reviews for her work. Responding to the claim, which was later proven wrong, she started Crash Override, an organization that provides anti-harassment security and support for victims of cyber-bullying.
Quinn's memoir will be published in September 2016 by Touchstone/Simon & Schuster. A screenplay for Pascal's movie will be provided by Rebecca Angelo and Lauren Schuker Blum.
