The reported four mini movies will reportedly represent a fall chapter, a winter chapter, a spring chapter and a summer chapter.

AceShowbiz - While a "Gilmore Girls" revival isn't officially announced yet, new details of the supposed 90-minute movies emerge following reports that the project is currently in the works at Netflix. According to TVLine, each episode of the 4-episode mini movies "will represent a different season over the course of one calendar year," which means there will be a fall chapter, a winter chapter, a spring chapter and a summer chapter.

The revival will reportedly be set in the present day or pick up eight years after the series ended. Exec producer Daniel Palladino will write and direct the entire revival with creator Amy Sherman-Palladino also on board the project.

Major cast members like Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop and Scott Patterson are reportedly still in negotiations to return for the the series continuation, and it appears that Netflix won't make the announcement until the stars' deals are sealed.

Back in June at the show's reunion during the ATX Television Festival, Sherman-Palladino denied rumors of a movie but was open to a possibility of a revival in some form. "It would have to be the right everything, like the right format, the right timing, the right way. ... It would have to be honored in a certain way," she said. "If it ever happened, I promise you, we'll do it correctly."
