Bindi pays tribute to her late father Steve Irwin with her contemporary number, while Nick Carter brings 'Backstreet's Back' to the dance floor as he recalls the year he joined BSB.

AceShowbiz - "Dancing with the Stars" got nostalgic as the remaining contestants celebrated their Most Memorable Years on Monday, October 5. Bindi Irwin's performance was one of the most anticipated ones that night and she didn't disappoint.

Bindi and her pro partner Derek Hough danced a contemporary number to recall 2006, the year her father Steve Irwin died. The dance was emotional and it was a beautiful tribute to the late "Crocodile Hunter" star. She got the first 10 of the season for a total score of 28.

Another frontrunner, Nick Carter, also soared with a jazz number to celebrate 1992, the year he joined Backstreet Boys. He credited the group for helping him deal with a dysfunctional family. His band mate A.J. McLean as well as NSYNC's Joey Fatone and O-Town's Jacob Underwood and Trevor Penick were on hand to show some support. Nick's dance to BSB's classic "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" with Sharna Burgess was scored 27 points.

Also scoring 27 points each were Tamar Braxton and Hayes Grier. Tamar and Valentin Chmerkovskiy danced a rumba to recall the time she almost lost her husband due to multiple blood clots in his lungs. The sensual and emotional routine brought Carrie Ann Inaba to tears. The judges raved about how she reached a next level. Hayes and her pro partner Emma Slater, meanwhile, danced a contemporary to celebrate 2014, the year he joined Vine.

Carlos Pena Jr. and Witney Carson danced a waltz to celebrate 2012, the year he met his now wife Alexa Vega in a Bible study. The judges pointed out some technical issues with his shoulders. The Big Time Rush member got 25 points.

His wife Alexa considered 2000, when she landed a role on "Spy Kids", as her most memorable year. She and Mark Ballas danced a cute foxtrot that was adorable, but technically it was a mess. She got 21 points.

Alek Skarlatos chose the current year as his most memorable one. He dedicated his paso doble to his hometown of Oregon where there was a shooting at Umpqua Community College earlier this week. The judges praised him for being strong and scored the dance 24.

Andy Grammer and his partner Allison Holker danced a cha cha to pay tribute to his mother who died of breast cancer in 2009. Carrie thought it was bad, but Julianne Hough thought he looked comfortable. He scored 23 points. The dance aside, pro dancer Allison announced she's four-months pregnant.

Paula Deen and Louis Van Amstel also danced a cha cha to recall the time she got a divorce and started her business in 1989. She still messed up a lot. The judges scored the dance 18.

Gary Busey got the lowest score that night following his jazz with Anna Trebunskaya. He danced to celebrate 1979, when he starred in "Buddy Holly" that earned him Oscar nomination. As usual, he delivered an entertaining performance, but still lacked techniques. He got 16 points.

At the end of the night, Gary had to accept that his skills were not good enough to keep him on the show. He was eliminated based on the combination of viewers' votes and judges' scores from last week.

Alfonso Ribeiro, who filled in for host Tom Bergeron as he took the night off to stay beside his ailing father, announced that the scores and votes from tonight would be combined with next week's Switch-Up to decide the next elimination.
