Kraven the Hunter May Be Villain in 'Spider-Man' Reboot
Movie

The villainous game hunter will reportedly be featured in the upcoming film, facing off against the titular superhero.

AceShowbiz - Although the untitled new Spider-Man movie is still far from the release date, there have been rumblings about the plot lines of the story. In an article by Heroic Hollywood, Umberto Gonzales pointed out that the upcoming film might feature a villainous character Kraven the Hunter.

According to the website's sources, Karen Moy, the Vice President of Creative Affairs at Sony, recently purchased a copy of "Kraven's Last Hunt" trade paperback on Amazon. What makes the rumors more convincing is that the leaked Sony emails database on Wikileaks also reveal that Moy has previously made comic book purchases on Amazon for research purposes for her former boss Amy Pascal. Thus, the purchasing news seems to be legitimate and it is very likely to see Tom Holland's Spidey facing off against Kraven in the upcoming movie.

In the comic which was first printed in 1987, Kraven the Hunter (a.k.a. Sergei Kravinoff) is a game hunter who seeks to defeat Spider-Man to prove that he is the greatest hunter in the world. He doesn't use weapons, but has superhuman strength. He consumes a mystical serum to give himself enhanced strength and dramatically slow the aging process.

In other news from the same universe, the new version of the webslinger, who will be debuted in "Captain America: Civil War", was rumored to have a major fighting scene in the film which is set to be released in the U.S. on May 6, 2016.

Marisa Tomei will join Holland in the cast, becoming a female lead in the new "Spider-Man" film which will premiere in the U.S. on July 28, 2017. Jon Watts serves behind the lens while Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal produce the movie.
