Elizabeth Olsen Confirms Scarlet Witch Will Return for 'Captain America: Civil War'

The Wanda Maximoff depicter gives an affirmative answer when asked if she will reprise her role in the third 'Captain America' movie.

AceShowbiz - After a long speculation, Elizabeth Olsen finally reveals that she will indeed reprise her role as Scarlet Witch in "Captain America: Civil War". "I guess I'm allowed to talk about that now," the actress says at the Meet the Filmmakers event at London's Apple Store while confirming her return to the third Cap movie.

"Civil War" will arrive in North American theaters on May 6, 2016. Chris Evans is back as the titular hero, while Anthony and Joe Russo from "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" return to their posts behind the lens. After that, they will reteam for "Avengers: Infinity War Part I" and "Avengers: Infinity War Part II".

Wanda Maximoff or Scarlet Witch was briefly introduced at the end of "The Winter Soldier" along with her twin brother Pietro Maximoff or Quicksilver (Aaron Johnson). The siblings later join the Earth's Mightiest Heroes in Joss Whedon's "Avengers: Age of Ultron" which is due May 1 Stateside.

"Civil War" is also expected to welcome another new hero, Spider-Man. The webslinger will be re-introduced at the Marvel Cinematic Universe before getting his own new solo movie at Sony. The partnership between the two studios results in the Russo brothers signing a multi-picture deal with Sony.

Latest rumor claims Nat Wolff, Asa Butterfield, Tom Holland, Timothee Chalamet, and Liam James are among the shortlist to play the new Spidey.
