'90210' Alum Luke Perry Lands Key Role on 'CSI: Cyber'

The Dylan McKay of 'Beverly Hills, 90210' will portray a former FBI agent who hold many secrets to the backstory of Patricia Arquette's Avery Ryan.

AceShowbiz - "CSI: Cyber" has recruited another actor to join its cast. Luke Perry, best known for his portrayal of Dylan McKay on 1990s TV series "Beverly Hills, 90210", is booked to appear in a recurring role for the new "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" spin-off.

The "Beverly Hills, 90210" alum will portray Nick Dalton, a former FBI agent. According to TVLine, he "was destined to run the cyber unit in Washington DC. After a classified falling out, Dalton set his sights on becoming a 'futurist' for the private sector." Dalton "will hold many secrets to [Special Agent] Avery's (Patricia Arquette) backstory."

"Cyber" is inspired by producer Mary Aiken's previous work as a cyber-psychologist. In addition to Emmy Award winner Arquette, the previously cast stars include James Van Der Beek ("Dawson's Creek"), Peter MacNicol ("Ally McBeal"), Charley Koontz ("Community") and Shad Moss a.k.a. Bow Wow ("Entourage"). The show will launch midseason on CBS.

After "Beverly Hills, 90210" wrapped up in 2000, Luke Perry has appeared in a slew of other TV series such as "Will & Grace", "Oz", "Criminal Minds", and "Leverage". Most recently, he guest starred in an episode of "Major Crimes".
