The young rapper confirms the matter on his Twitter, "I'm officially the newest member to the Cash Money team!"
Recalling how he ends up sealing a deal with the company, Bow Wow tells MTV, "We had two sit-downs." He explains more, "Upon the first sit-down, I called [co-CEO Birdman] and told him what I wanted to do. So it was a no-brainer. He was like, 'Bow, you always been family. Next to Wayne, I look at you like my son. If you not with JD [Jermaine Dupri], you with us.' From there, it was a done deal. So I wanna thank [him], Slim and Wayne."
Bow Wow Dropping New Song '1 for the Money'

Bow Wow Rumored to Have Left Columbia Records
June 23, 2009 10:06:48Around three weeks after Bow Wow spoke up that he was not happy with the situation in Columbia Records, rumor emerged that he already left the label. The report first surfaced via The YBF which claim that a source from the recording company has informed the matter to them.
There hasn't been any comment from Columbia Records as well as Bow Wow regarding the rumor. But, it is noticed that Bow Wow's name has been removed from the company's official website, adding fuel that the speculation is indeed true. In addition, Jim Jones' name has also been missing from the list of Columbia's artists.

As previously reported, Bow Wow is going to do a joint project with his buddy singer Omarion. Up to this level, the two have been working on an album that will be ready for sale by November.
Announced on Tuesday (May 29), the rapper and R&B singer will combine their music in an album that is yet untitled. Omarion said that this project "isn't about money" but is more about the music. "We both started young and have grown up together, working on the same tours, and have developed our identity in the music world," he said.

On the other side, a rep for Ciara remarked that the couple has split some time ago and "Their parting was amicable".

As strong as the rapper is pop diva Mariah Carey, whose "Shake It Off" sits at No. 2 of the chart for a sixth. Just behind is Canadian rock band Nickelback's "Photograph" ups one place to No. 3.
"Like You" by Bow Wow drops one place to No. 4, ahead of "My Humps" by the Black Eyed Peas which remains at No. 5. Green Day's "Wake Me Up When September Ends" and David Banner's "Play" each ups one to No. 6 and 7 respectively. In time, Young Jeezy's "Soul Survivor" featuring Akon rising eight places to No. 8.
