The 'Sherlock' actor gives a dramatic reading of the sexy lyrics off Kelly's song on a dim-lit set, prompting audience to shriek as he says, 'I can't wait to turn you on.'
Benedict Cumberbatch turned up the heat on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Wednesday, December 4. Stopping by the ABC talk show to promote his new movie "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug", the British actor was asked to recite R. Kelly's single "Genius".
Sitting on a stool on a dim-lit set, he dramatically read the sexual lyrics of the hip-hop song. "Go to sleep, and when we wake up, I'mma hit that thing again, promise," he said with a wink, as the audience responded with loud shriek.
Earlier that night, Cumberbatch sat down with host Jimmy Kimmel to talk about his actress mother, his first visit to America and the upcoming "Hobbit" movie. The title character depicter on "Sherlock" voices the dragon Smaug in the second installment of the fantasy movie series directed by Peter Jackson. The film will open wide in theaters across the nation on December 13.
