Director Ridley Scott has given some tidbits on the planned sequel to "Prometheus". In an interview with Metro, the English filmmaker dished on his idea about how Noomi Rapace's and Michael Fassbender's characters would become in the untitled Prometheus sequel.
As shown at the end of the first film, Noomie's Elizabeth Shaw runs away from the hellish planet while carrying the head of Michael's David with her. "Prometheus evolved into a whole other universe," Ridley explained, before hinting that the scene might lead to an important event in the sequel.
"You've got a person [Noomi's Elizabeth] with a head in a bag [Michael's David] that functions and has an IQ of 350," he elaborated further. "It can explain to her how to put the head back on the body and she's gonna think about that long and hard because, once the head is back on his body, he's dangerous."
Urged if the sequel would revolve around David and Elizabeth's story, the elder brother of late Tony Scott said, "[Laughs] I wish it was that easy." He added, "They're going off to paradise but it could be the most savage, horrible place. Who are the Engineers?"
During the chat, the "Gladiator" helmer also talked about the long-gestating sequel project to "Blade Runner". Giving a little update of the film, he said, "It's not a rumor - it's happening. With Harrison Ford? I don't know yet. Is he too old? Well, he was a Nexus-6 so we don't know how long he can live [laughs]. And that's all I'm going to say at this stage."

@Pearl I bet you say the same thing about Michael Bay and the Transformer movies if you think Prometheus was "brilliant."
@John Damon Lindelof wrote Prometheus? That explains why it sucks, all questions and no answers.
The only part of Prometheus I liked was when it removed the AVP movies from the continuity of the Alien franchise. I hope that the sequel will be better, but after that they should leave the Alien franchise alone, there's nothing more they can do for it.
@Dwayne hicks I'd liked it when the origins of the alien were a mystery, it gets people to use their imagination. Seems like you have issues yourself if you think Prometheus was any good.
Prometheus is a my favorite movie in recent memory. Brilliant and entertaining. Addresses issues that the alien movies never contemplated. Mature concepts.
I loved it! It definitely feels like an Alien prequel. Plus the girl Noomi Repace I think was right up the ally with Sijourney Weaver; I mean who can have an alien aboration without being under or with pain killers and still suit up run around and still be ready to wield an axe to take on that Engineer and want more by going after them? That girl rocked it like Sijourney Weaver I dont care what anyone says!
Prometheus was brilliant. Ridley is brilliant. Looking forward to the sequel.
I'm getting sick to death of people saying Prometheus was crap,it's laying down the foundations to explain the origins of the alien. What could be better? If the directors storytelling is too slow for you, tough shit. You obviously have life issues and no amount of action in a sci-fi film will resolve this.
Ridley Scott needs to bring his A game for the sequel, Prometheus was a huge letdown. I'll give him a second chance but if he fails again, he should consider retiring from film making. He should also hire a better writer, Damon Lindelof sucks.
I realize it didn't have the firepower of Aliens, but could we have hoped for a better prequel to the Alien series. This film was beyond amazing. The CGI in it made Avatar look like Snow White... the original version. Personally I think it is the best Sci Fi drama of all time.... not action, but drama. Hopefully, Prom II will be full of both!!
