A photo of the country singer that was posted on his Twitter page suggests that he is crafting a holiday record.
By tweeting a photo of himself in the studio wearing a Santa Claus hat, Scotty McCreery has somewhat confirmed that he is working on a Christmas album. "well its still 90 some degrees outside, but its Christmas in July here in the studio..." tweets the country singer.
Rumors began swirling when Nashville singer-songwriter Nick Autry tweeted, "@scottymccreery wraps up a Christmas record so they felt the need to bring the decorations and gear to my office." The post has since been deleted.
Mjsbigblog hinted that Christmas song titled "All I Want Is You", which was written by Justin Bieber and Brandon Hamilton, might be re-recorded by the "American Idol" winner. However, it's unclear whether the revamped version will make it into his record.
In the wake of Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler's departure from "Idol" that made Scotty famous, OnTheRedCarpet asked the country crooner how he felt about the judge shakeup. "It's definitely going to change, you know it changed when Simon left and a couple of those guys, so we'll see. You know the show is going to survive," he said.
When asked about whom he'd like to see with newly-hailed judge Mariah Carey, he answered, "I don't know if I could pick one artist, I'm trying to think... Maybe from country music... Garth Brooks would be cool."
