Although long-running and part of a huge TV franchise, "CSI: Miami" does not survive another season. CBS has pulled the plug on the "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" spin-off to accommodate other shows including its younger sister, "CSI: NY".
" 'CSI: Miami' leaves an amazing television legacy - a signature look and style, global popularity and as a key player in CBS's rise to the top over the past decade," the network said. "We thank all the producers - led by Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman and Ann Donahue - and its talented cast, led by David Caruso, for 10 outstanding seasons. Viewers around the world will continue to enjoy rebroadcasts of 'CSI: Miami' in syndication and on key digital platforms for many years to come."
"CSI: Miami" wrapped up its final season with 8 million total viewers and a 1.7 rating in the key demo. With new scripted series coming their way, CBS reportedly had to choose "CSI: NY" over "CSI: Miami" because it has cheaper production cost.
Joining "CSI: Miami" in the cancellation bucket are freshmen "iRob!", "A Gifted Man", and "Unforgettable". Fate is yet to be determined about veteran comedy "Rules of Engagement". Meanwhile, The Eye has picked up new dramas "Elementary", "Vegas", "Made in New Jersey", "Golden Boy"; comedies "Friend Me" and "Partners"; as well as reality show "The Job".

MOM, YOU'RE AN IDIOT. CSI HAS BEEN A TOP RATED SHOW FOR 10 YRS...CBS IS GIVING US AN HR OF"DOGS in the CITY" INSTEAD OF CSI..WHO GOT BLOWN TO GET THAT PIECE OF FECES ON??
At last CBS had the sense to cancel CSI Miami. They should have done it years ago. Of all the CSI shows, CSI Miami is the least i like because of Horatio's weird stances/poses or whatever you call those movements he makes on the show.
IT SUCKS CBS CANCEL CSI MIAMI BECAUSE IT TOO EXPENSIVE TO MAKE.
