Although long-running and part of a huge TV franchise, "CSI: Miami" does not survive another season. CBS has pulled the plug on the "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" spin-off to accommodate other shows including its younger sister, "CSI: NY".

"CSI: Miami" wrapped up its final season with 8 million total viewers and a 1.7 rating in the key demo. With new scripted series coming their way, CBS reportedly had to choose "CSI: NY" over "CSI: Miami" because it has cheaper production cost.
Joining "CSI: Miami" in the cancellation bucket are freshmen "iRob!", "A Gifted Man", and "Unforgettable". Fate is yet to be determined about veteran comedy "Rules of Engagement". Meanwhile, The Eye has picked up new dramas "Elementary", "Vegas", "Made in New Jersey", "Golden Boy"; comedies "Friend Me" and "Partners"; as well as reality show "The Job".
