Report: Killing Off Charlie Sheen's 'Men' Character Gives Creator 'Extreme Pleasure'

Assuring that Charlie Harper will die, a source says Chuck Lorre 'got a big vicarious thrill' by killing off Sheen's character on 'Two and a Half Men'.

AceShowbiz - Another report has come out regarding the fate of Charlie Harper on "Two and a Half Men". Following speculations about whether or not the character which was portrayed by Charlie Sheen will die in upcoming season of the sitcom, two longtime "Men" staffers have allegedly said it indeed will happen.

"As far as Chuck [Lorre] was concerned, there never was any doubt: Charlie Harper was going to die to end his connection to the show," another source said as quoted by Chicago Sun-Times. It was additionally reported that creator/producer Chuck Lorre got "extreme pleasure in making sure it happened."

"He loved killing off Charlie ... got a big vicarious thrill out of it, even if it only was his fictional character!" the source further quipped with laugh. "You got the sense that next to killing Charlie for real, this was the next best thing."

Recently, Deadline obtained a detail which is believed to support this scenario. All or most of Harper's ex-girlfriends will reportedly be featured in the first episode of season 9 which will premiere on September 19 at 9 P.M.

It was also revealed that Harper's Malibu beachfront house will be put up for sale. A number of Hollywood stars will allegedly tour the pad, with new lead actor Ashton Kutcher possibly joining them.
