Nicki Minaj takes her fans to a vibrant world full of female and male eye candies in music video supporting her latest single "Super Bass". The femcee joins the ladies in a dance routine to pop music of the chorus, and flirts her way into a swimming pool with the chiseled guys. She, together with the girls, additionally gives the men a lap dance in a glow-in-the-dark scene.
"I just wanted to do something real colorful and cutesy. This is an icy world, it's a sexy world, it's a playful world," she once said of the Sanaa Hamri-directed video. "I would like to put out 50 videos. The videos really tell the story a lot more elaborately than just the song does."
"Super Bass" is taken from Nicki Minaj's critically-acclaimed debut album "Pink Friday". She chose the song as her next single due to Taylor Swift. "[She] did her little interview about 'Super Bass' and [it] took off in the states with the people sort of knowing it. It's just really uncanny how all that stuff happens," Minaj gushed. "We didn't plan it like that."
In addition to the country music cutie, young singer Selena Gomez is also fond of the song. The "Wizards of Waverly Place" star once covered it in a dressing room, and uploaded a footage of the impromptu performance on YouTube.
