Nicolas Cage, Jay Baruchel and More at the World Premiere of 'Sorcerer's Apprentice'

The depicters of the sorcerer and his hapless apprentice reunited at the red carpet event, which was held in New York City on Tuesday, July 6.

AceShowbiz - "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" has spread its charm in New York City. On Tuesday, July 6, the film has had its world premiere which took place at the New Amsterdam Theatre in Times Square and had Disney's iconic character, Mickey Mouse, greeting the guests.

Nicolas Cage who takes a lead role in the film was spotted coming hand in hand with wife Alice Kim. His co-star Jay Baruchel, in the meantime, opted to make a solo appearance. Together with Alfred Molina who portrays the film's villain, they later posed on the red carpet.

As usual, producer Jerry Bruckheimer did not miss the premiere for his film. This time, he took wife Linda Bruckheimer as his companion. Director Jon Turteltaub and the likes of Teresa Palmer, Jake Cherry and Manish Dayal who land roles in the movie also supported the event.

Meanwhile, Xavier Samuel who is fresh of the promotional duty for his own flick "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse" spent his time attending the "Sorcerer's Apprentice" premiere with a female companion. Helen Mirren, Danielle Staub and her family, Peyton List as well as OneRepublic, who made performances before the premiere, were additionally seen among the guests.

Based on the popular "Sorcerer's Apprentice" segment in Disney's animated film "Fantasia", "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" follows Balthazar Blake who tries to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath. He then recruits Dave Stutler, a seemingly average guy who demonstrates hidden potential, as his reluctant protege. This drama fantasy is set to open wide in U.S. theaters on July 14.
