The music video directed by Sophie Muller captures the spirit of Sade's 'Soldier of Love' single, the title track of their February 8 release.
Sade are ready to make a comeback this year. They have made public a music video promoting their new single "Soldier of Love". Debuted on Amazon, the newly-outed video comes from the direction hands of Sophie Muller and captures the spirit of the song.
"Soldier of Love" is Sade's first release after 8-year hiatus. The song serves as the lead single from their upcoming album of the same title, "Soldier of Love" which is slated to arrive in U.S. stores on February 8.
Sade reunited in 2008 at Peter Gabriel's Real World studio for the very first time after wrapping the Lover's Rock tour in 2001. In a series of fortnightly recording sessions, they sketched out materials for a new album which, they all felt, was probably their most ambitious to date.
The album was completed in Summer 2009 and has Sade exploring new territory. "I never want to repeat myself," lead singer Helen Folasade Adu says. "And that becomes a more interesting challenge for us the longer we carry on together."
