The 37th Annual American Music Awards will be filled with live performances from "American Idol" alumni. Joining already-confirmed musical guest Adam Lambert are his Idol pals Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and DAUGHTRY.
" 'American Idol' continually produces great talent," producer Larry Klein commented on the new additions in the performers list. "And we are looking forward to hosting Kelly, Carrie, Daughtry and Adam. It's a great fit for the AMAs."
Scheduled to be held on November and aired live on ABC, 2009 AMAs will also have Black Eyed Peas, Jennifer Lopez, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys singing on the stage. However, the previously-rumored Rihanna's performance hasn't been addressed by the organizers.
This year, the nominations list is dominated by country music singer Taylor Swift with six kudos.

kelly is going to kick you know what out of all them. *I am a Daughtry,Carrie fan though :)* Nothing beats the og.
Kelly Clarkson rocks my world. I will watch the AMA's to watch her perform. She is amazing!!!
Those asking about Kris not on the line-up, it's because usually an artist should already have a released hit record. And why not the other idols then? Well, maybe the headline of another publication says it all: TOP SELLING AI OF ALL TIME WILL PERFORM. Having said that, ADAM's inclusion is an exceptional exception. ADAM is being launched into the world stage with a BIG BANG! Because no one has ever been like ADAM. Nothing can top the hype and fanfare how ADAM is conquering the music world. And ADAM deserves it all. ADAM is totally from another stratosphere as a singer, entertainer and performer. ADAM excites and thrills. ADAM is fiercely electrifying! So everything perfectly falls into its place.
correction...is he too busy?
Is Kris Allen being shunned or is it to busy???
