AceShowbiz - Iman Shumpert has once again had to admit Teyana Taylor's charm. Despite pulling the plug on their marriage, the former NBA player has vaguely gushed over the singer/actress' look at the 2024 Met Gala.
The 33-year-old appeared to comment on his estranged wife's look at fashion's biggest event on Monday, May 6 via his social media account. "Yeah you ate…but I ain't tellin you that s**t," he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, without naming names.
Iman, however, seemingly confirmed that his tweet was about his estranged wife after someone echoed his sentiment about Teyana's Met Gala look. "That she did!!!! The power of that blonde hair lil red dress combo!" the said person replied to Iman's post. The retired basketball player then retweeted the reply to make it more obvious.
When someone seemingly failed to understand his compliment towards Teyana, Iman clarified his initial tweet. "lol it was a cute way to say she kilt it. But people don't laugh enough in life," he wrote in another tweet.
Noticing Iman's tweets, many voiced their support for the one-time NBA champion to get back together with Teyana. "Bro get your wife back damn !" one fan reacted. Another commented on screenshots of his tweets that were posted on The Shade Room's Instagram page, "Get your family back king."
Echoing the sentiment, a third user urged Teyana to make a move, "Girl, get up there and get yo man. -Big Momma." Another expressed disappointment for the couple's split as claiming, "We was rooting for yall."
At the Met Gala, which took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in new York City, Teyana debuted new hair color. She ditched her signature brunette tresses and traded them for platinum blonde locks. She styled her new blonde hair in a voluminous updo with effortlessly loose tendrils on the sides.
The "A Thousand and One" star stunned in a bold crimson-colored strapless dress with a thigh-high slit that featured a bed of roses laid beautifully on the neckline and the corset bodice. The design also included delicate ruby gems scattered all over, creating the illusion of rain droplets falling from the rose petals.
