Celebrity couple, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr., has welcomed the arrival of their first child, a baby girl, weekly publication People reports. A representative for the actress confirms the news, informing that daughter Charlotte Grace Prinze was born on Saturday, September 19.
The height and weight of the newborn infant are not disclosed though. The representative simply tells People, "The family is over the moon."
Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. first met during the filming of 1997 teen horror film "I Know What You Did Last Summer." However, it was not until three years later that they began dating. They got engaged in April 2001 and made their union official on September 1, 2002.
In early April this year, news of Sarah's pregnancy began sparking. The following month, it was claimed that the baby she was carrying would be a baby girl.
Baby news aside, Sarah will next be seen starring in drama film "Veronika Decides to Die", which will be released in limited theaters on November 1. As for Freddie, the actor will continue starring as Davis Cole in the upcoming season of TV series "24".
