It was reported that she was in the country to start working on her new reality show, "The Price of Beauty".

As for Solange, she was in Japan alongside sister Beyonce Knowles. They were on board to promote the Samantha Thavasa & Disney handbag collection kickoff at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel. "wtf! wtf! wtf! my sister said she was scared out of her mind and calling my mom and i was snoring. 6.6????? omg! omg! omg! tsunami watch???" Solange posted on her Twitter page after learning she had slept through the natural disaster. "How did i sleep through a SERIOUS earthquake. AGAIN. Japan. Wtf?" Solange then quickly added, "praying for everyone affected by this:(".

Speaking of the incident, local weather agency has confirmed a magnitude 6.6 earthquake struck Japan's Tsuruga Bay, which is southwest of Tokyo. A tsunami warning was issued, but there were no serious damages or casualties immediately reported.
