It is official, country music duo Brooks & Dunn call it quits. As a farewell to their fans, this group promise to release a greatest hits album titled "#1s... And Then Some" across America on September 8 and embark on "The Last Rodeo Tour" in 2010.
"After 20 years of making music and riding this trail together, we have agreed as a duo that it's time call it a day," they announced on their official website. "This ride has been everything and more than we could ever have dreamed. ... We owe it all to you, the fans. If you hear rumors, don't believe them, it's just time."
Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn joined forces under the moniker of Brooks & Dunn in 1990. Together, they have dropped at least 10 studio albums and five hits compilations. Their records have sold more than 30 million copies and earned them two Grammy awards.
