Originally planned for Wednesday, August 12 release, the sneak peek will be aired nationwide on television and online at 9:00 EST due to high demand. There's no other detail shared on which channel or site will get the privilege as well as on whether the preview will be the same or not with the one shown at 2009 San Diego Comic Con.
The brand new full teaser for "New Moon" itself is scheduled to be debuted on big screen across the U.S. this coming Friday, August 14. It will be attached to another Summit movie "Bandslam", which will open in theaters on the particular day.
"Bandslam" centers its story on a group of misfit high school kids dreaming of winning their school's battle of the bands competition. The musical-romantic comedy is directed and co-penned by Todd Graff. Alyson Michalka, Vanessa Hudgens and Gaelan Connell star in addition to Lisa Kudrow and Scott Porter.
Directed by "The Golden Compass" helmer Chris Weitz, "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" is penned by "Twilight Saga" screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg. It centers on the personal conflict Bella experiences following Edward Cullen's abrupt departure. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner return to reprise their roles as Edward Cullen, Bella Swan and Jacob Black.
Those three lead actors will be joined by many of the original cast members, including Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Jackson Rathbone and Nikki Reed, as well as new additions that consist of Dakota Fanning and Michael Sheen among others. "New Moon" is targeting a November 20 U.S. release.
