'New Moon' Star Jackson Rathbone Talks Love and Lust
November 06, 2009 03:11:10Jackson Rathbone has no hesitation to share with Glamour U.K. on what he has in mind about love and lust. In an interview for the December 2009 issue of the magazine, he compares the two components to whiskey and tequila.
"Lust tastes like tequila and love tastes like whiskey," says the Jasper Hale depicter in "Twilight" and its much awaited sequel "The Twilight Saga's New Moon". He goes on elaborating, "Love burns for longer and warms you up on the inside and sometimes it makes you do stupid things. Tequila just makes you wasted."

When MTV caught up with him on the set of his new movie "Girlfriend", the actor who plays Jasper Hale in the "Twilight Saga" series uttered what he knows of the second movie.
"I've heard people are concerned about Edward and the Cullens not being in the film, but Edward is very prominent in the film, especially in Bella's mind," the 24-year-old reaffirmed previous report that Edward will appear as Bella's hallucination in the second film. "The way that [director] Chris Weitz worked it out is beautiful, and I think that people are going to love it."

Birthday Scene in 'New Moon' Involves More Violence
August 05, 2009 01:08:37Although fans have been presented with a snippet of Bella's birthday party scene in the "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" trailer, cast member Jackson Rathbone claimed the promo video only gives a little peek of the whole scene. Contrary to his co-star Nikki Reed's remark that there isn't much blood seen in the scene, the Jasper Hale's depicter told MTV that the scene actually involves a little bit more violence than what has been previewed.
"You saw a little bit of it in the trailer; you didn't see the whole thing," Rathbone stated when MTV pointed out on Jasper's attack on Bella. The actor who will be seen as Sokka in "The Last Airbender" elaborated his response, saying, "Yeah, there's a little bit more violence. It's definitely longer." He went further by explaining on what the birthday scene itself means to the story, "It's really about the moment where Bella is realizing what kind of world she's into."
First Look at Sokka and Katara in 'The Last Airbender'
July 15, 2009 11:07:29Brand new pictures from "The Last Airbender" have been unraveled and this time, they bring forth Sokka and Katara, the two key characters beside Aang and Zuko. In addition to those two, other captures at Noah Ringer's Aang and Dev Patel's Zuko are also included.
Weeks earlier, producer Frank Marshall has opened up to Starlog that the planned trilogy of "The Last Airbender" won't be filmed back-to-back, instead they will be handled one by one and may take as long as six years to complete. "We're shooting them one at a time, because they're being written one at a time," he stated. "[M.] Night [Shyamalan] will finish this movie, then the script and then we'll prepare for the next one. I think it'll probably happen over six years."
Jackson Rathbone of 'New Moon' Rarely Recognized by Fans
May 12, 2009 12:05:00Jackson Rathbone, the Jasper Hale depicter in movie "Twilight" and its sequel "The Twilight Saga's New Moon", tells Radar Online in an exclusive interview that, compared to his other cast mates he is rarely recognized by fans. Asked if such fact has something to do with his role which is considered as "withdrawn and cold," he explains, "I try to change my look in every role I take on: clothing, hairstyle, walk, facial expression, and the way I speak. Sometimes it's subtle and sometimes it's not, but as I am not a blonde in real life, people often do the double look before approaching me."
Going on talking about the close bond that "Twilight" and "New Moon" cast are embarking, the actor says most of them usually "get down with a little music" when they have break from filming. "Some of our styles and tastes are a bit different," he reveals, adding "I've been digging on Spencer Bell's solo album, Feudal, Brutal, and the American Dream, (available on iTunes), number 13 is my favorite song."

The Cullen Family Cast Talk About Experiences on 'Twilight'
November 20, 2008 03:11:51Counting down to the release of "Twilight" that is less than two days away, MTV has posted a written interview with some of the vampire drama's cast ensemble. In the interview which reportedly took place at two different occasions, the actors who act as members of the Cullen family in the film, Peter Facinelli, Jackson Rathbone, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene and Elizabeth Reaser, sat down to talk about their experiences during the filming.
Discussing about what they have to go through for their portrayal of the vampire family, Facinelli recalled, "We did, like, a week of testing all the different kinds of makeup. The makeup team was phenomenal, and the actors were very patient...The makeup was part of the transformation. For me, it was 'blond in a bottle.' That took a good day at the salon." He then added, "...some of us had to go back to the salon more than others."
