A representative for David Hasselhoff has confirmed that the actor currently is doing fine and recuperating after being hospitalized over the weekend with alcohol poisoning.

AceShowbiz - Rushed to Cedars-Sinai medical center in Los Angeles over the weekend after suffering alcohol poisoning, David Hasselhoff currently is recuperating. "He's recovering," a source informs Radar Online about the actor's latest condition, adding that his ex-wife Pamela Bach had been staying by his side until 4 A.M. Sunday, May 3.
David, who is best known for his role as Michael Knight in TV series "Knight Rider" in 1980s, was found unconscious on the floor of his home in Encino, California on Saturday, May 2 by daughter Hayley Amber Hasselhoff. The source states that Hayley was frightened and kept "slapping her dad's face" to keep him alive.
She then called her mother Pamela, who lives 10 minutes away in the Hollywood Hills. The mother-daughter duo then quickly rushed David to Cedars-Sinai. "He was barely breathing when they got him at the hospital," the source reveals. There, the actor's alcohol level reportedly was registered at a staggering .39.
"This is about the 7th time he's been taken to a hospital over the last few years with alcohol poisoning. How many visits will it take before he dies?" the source continues telling Radar Online.
On Sunday, May 3, TMZ has obtained a confirmation from David's representative Judy Katz, who said the TV star "is fine and well and happy and is celebrating his father, Joe Hasselhoff's 80th birthday tonight at dinner... along with his girlfriend, Kimberly."
