AceShowbiz - To the April 2009 issue of ELLE magazine, Zac Efron gives a shocking revelation that his mother Starla Baskett gives him a stocking full of condoms as Christmas present. A picture of him and actress girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens striking poses with a female fan at an undisclosed sex store, emerging on the net late last year, has been cited as the reason that prompts his mother to give him the sex stuff.
"It was Hallows Eve like, two years ago. It was just a costume store," Zac sets the record straight on the controversial picture. "In the back they have an adult section for adult costumes. And this nice older woman asked for a photo."
However, "my mom is like, 'Zac, what did you buy in a sex shop?'" Zac tells ELLE. "I was like 'Mom, calm down, it's not a sex shop.' She wouldn't have any of it. She's like, 'I knew you were being sexual!'" the heartthrob adds. "But she understood. My stocking was full of condoms this Christmas. She buys me the economy box."
In another Zac Efron news, he admitted in a recent interview with Family Circle Magazine that his mother is the one who is always by his side when he needs someone to listen to him. "I've always appreciated my mom's ability to listen to me," he frankly admitted. "Even today I can vent my frustration or share my happiness because she made it clear long ago that she wanted to hear what I had to say. I'm thankful to have had that."
On screen, Zac is having one of his next films, "17 Again", hitting the U.S. big screen on April 17.
