Nowadays music star Lady GaGa claims she and Madonna aren't far different as they have lots of things in common. Comparing herself to the pop diva, GaGa tells The Times that she and Madonna share an "artistic intuition" which allows them to predict what is coming next.
"I think what Madonna and I share is that we are both fearless. We both have a lot of nerve," so GaGa boasts. "We're both Italian-American women, we both started out in the New York underground scene - and we both became famous when we dyed our hair blonde," GaGa goes on gushing.
GaGa's personal assistant Jennifer, additionally, tells The Times that she believes the singer will be "the next Madonna." Sharing her thought, Jennifer has been quoted as describing, "I'm telling you. The determination, that knowledge of who you are, who you want and what the people want. That's her."
Lady GaGa claims her fame in music business with single "Just Dance". She recently performed at 2009 BRIT Awards, taking place on February 18 at London's Earls Court, alongside the likes of electronic dance music duo Pet Shop Boys and The Killers' vocalist Brandon Flowers.

This is how to tell. Madonna has been in music and pretty mainstream for the better part of 30 years. If Gaga can get anywhere close to that time (which I highly doubt). Then maybe.. But I think she'll last about as long as any other (3-5 years).

She is simmilar to Madonna that you cant deny. but is she better? thats a matter of opinion and no one can say who is better As for QUEEN OF POP, it will be very hard for someone to beat Madonna. No one even comes close. But it doesnt mean that just because she was the first to get the title, that no one else can take it
Madonna is and always will be the QUEEN OF POP, nobody else even comes close. As For Lady Blah Blah, she is simply a boy in designer drag copying not just Madonna but every other artist that has come out of the 70's & 80's. She has also stolen most of her fashion ideas from Madonna, Roison Murphy, Grace Jones, Bjork, Kylie, Prince & David Bowie. Once the teen girls & the little gay boys lose interest in Lady Gaga, she will be a distant memory just like Milli Vanilli, Tiffany & Vanilla Ice. lol.
I remember when Madonna was in her early career, she like to make herself look like Marilyn Monroe.
Madonna is beautiful. Gaga is ugly. They both have amazing voices, but Madonna did it first, making her original and the Queen! Gaga will never be as good, or as pretty. Only when Gaga's got several albums and number ones under her belt, she will be able to compare herself to Madonna.
Quite amusing how people have such strong emotional reactions whenever Lady Gaga is mentioned. And this is on what she preys. As long as Lady Gaga is either loved or hated, she's bound to stay around. If you really want to get rid of her, simply stop even thinking about her...assuming you can. Eheh.

She may demonstrate some degree of technical prowess at singing, the piano and in the pure theatrical aspect of her performances, all edgy and provocative for the sake of being provocative (with nothing 'really' significant or meaningful to provoke mind you)... but if you were to strip away all the layers, the aesthetic value really amounts to nought. You don't walk away from a performance of hers feeling genuinely touched, in spite of all the extravagance and drama. When compared to Madonna in her upcoming years, you realise there's actually precious little in Gaga's performances - whereas Madonna made an impact and delivered messages that made you think, beneath all the elaborate costumery and stage effects. Gaga's messages though, cannot be generalised to a very wide population, e.g. does she model herself as a gay activist, a made-for-theatre type who happened to get lucky, or is she just another young woman who wants a piece of the fame pie and the chance to bask in a spotlight as self-crowned princess for a while? Any way you look at it, Lady Gaga's product - in the words of Lady Madonna herself - is one that requires a process of refinement, filtering maybe. Please don't give us art for art's sake, but instead art that is personally meaningful to us each.
Whenever I look at Gaga I just think... been there, done that - and not just by Madonna. Think Kylie, Britney, Xtina and the slew of other female pop femme fetales who depend on dominatrix gear to try & grab attention to their act, no matter how well conceptualized or not it may be. I just think Gaga is firing in the wrong direction artistically, when she could be so much more. Really - what she needs is a subtext that works and is relevant; at least Madonna had that when she was her age, or even younger. Gaga needs to START MAKING SENSE to people, out of all the nonsense she throws at us.. and quit pretending it's some sort of relevant art. If what she does really matters, the 'art' ought to be speaking volumes for itself. But sadly, it misfires at this early stage in her career.

She might not be the best ''singer" but her influence is greatest then any other female artist. To mention anyone else in the same sentence as her is ridiculous.
