Through their senior VP of communications, Live Nation said they have not signed any deal and also have not talked about the matter with Janet Jackson.
Live Nation have denied rumor stating that their people have signed a deal to release Janet Jackson's next album. "We have not signed a deal with Janet," John Vlautin, senior VP of communications for Live Nation, confirmed.
The live events company, which is based in Beverly Hills, California, also insisted that they have never been involved in a negotiation with Janet and her management team over such a deal. "Nor are we currently in discussions with the artist," John emphasized.
Rumor has swirled in the media earlier this month, claiming that Janet Jackson may drop her new studio album in spring under Live Nation. She was also said to continue her tour "Rock Witchu", which may be renamed to support her upcoming effort, this year.
Aside from Live Nation's denial over the rumor, Janet Jackson has indeed been working on new materials for her new record. In getting the album done, she will be helped by producer James Samuel "Jimmy Jam" Harris III.
