AceShowbiz - KT Tunstall officiated her union with longtime boyfriend Luke Bullen in a private wedding ceremony on a remote Scottish island on Saturday, September 6. The singer and the drummer exchanged wedding vows in a marquee overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. There were 150 close friends and family attending the wedding, held at the Flodigarry Country House Hotel on the romantic Isle of Skye in northern Scotland.
The bride, according to Mail Online, wore a fitted silk strapless gown covered in crystals and beautified her look with simple jewelery, whereas the groom wore a powder-blue morning suit. The guests and family who were attending the ceremony wore traditional outfits.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds mingled with guests, dining on a traditional "wedding breakfast" of local beef and seafood and dancing to 1980s hits and traditional Scottish folk music. "They wanted to keep it as a private event for family and friends," a friend of Tunstall told People. "It was just as they wanted it."
Tunstall and Bullen, the drummer in her band, began dating in 2003. They got engaged on Christmas day in 2007 when he proposed to her on a surprise visit to her parents' home in Scotland. The newlyweds, per Mail Online, booked two luxury hotels for five days of celebrations, with the first guests, some of whom have been traveling from as far as Los Angeles, arrived on Thursday, September 4.
Tunstall chose the wedding venue after holidaying there and falling for its stunning natural scenery. She and Bullen have been planning to spend their honeymoon backpacking in South America, India and New Zealand. Several photos, taken from the weekend wedding, can be seen on Mail Online.
