September 18, 2008 04:09:49Rapper will.i.am is scheduled to team up with Scottish singer KT Tunstall and Guy Berryman of Coldplay in order to record a fund-raising album as a tribute to surviving indigenous people. Other musicians to contribute in the effort include Jason Mraz, Hot Chip, and English multi-instrumentalist musician Mike Oldfield.
Furthermore, in an attempt to support the album, the Coldplay bassists and a-ha have formed a new band called Apparatjik. Commenting on their offshoot new band, Guy says, "Everyone asks what inspired us, what we've been trying to steal and what we listened to as we were growing up. The first band I loved was a-ha."
Singer KT Tunstall Weds Luke Bullen on a Remote Scottish Island

The singer and the drummer exchanged wedding vows in a marquee overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. There were 150 close friends and family attending the wedding, held at the Flodigarry Country House Hotel on the romantic Isle of Skye in northern Scotland.
The bride, according to Mail Online, wore a fitted silk strapless gown covered in crystals and beautified her look with simple jewelery, whereas the groom wore a powder-blue morning suit. The guests and family who were attending the ceremony wore traditional outfits.

February 28, 2008 12:02:32The music video of "If Only" which is KT Tunstall's third single off "Drastic Fantastic" has been premiered. Apt to its title, in the clip Tunstall played a ski-jumper who fails to break a record and make her jump.
The snow-themed video reportedly was shot in Norway's Olympic Ski Jumping Hill in Lillehammer. Tunstall attempted to make a high jump and was in the middle of a good one when something went wrong, causing her to take a free painful fall. In the end of the video, she was seen bloody but smiling to the camera.
KT Tunstall Refuses to Duet With Katharine McPhee

However, Tunstall responded to this rather unfavorable saying that she does not like the reality show. She said, "I'm not a big fan of the reality TV-show-pop-star thing. It chokes the market in terms of young original talent. There's a strong element of karaoke in pop TV shows. I like artists who fire my imagination."

KT Tunstall is preparing a more global trek in support of her second album 'Drastic Fantastic', due September 18 . She will roam U.S., Europe, Australia and some Asian countries throughout 2008.
The tour will begin October 16, one day prior the album's release date, in Glasgow. The plan is to spend November and December in North America only. The rest of the continents will experience her "Dylan-esque"-themed tour early next year.

KT Tunstall has found a date to release her highly-anticipated album "Drastic Fantastic". The Grammy-nominated singer will drop the "not so drastically changed in sound" CD on September 18 via Relentless/Virgin.
Following the first single "Hold On" that has been hot on U.K. radio outlets, KT believes that she picks the right time to release the sophomore set. "I feel like I've done the new album just in time," KT said in a statement. "If I'd taken any time off, I might have missed a bit of a window."

Scottish singer KT Tunstall who is infectious for her "Black Horse & The Cherry Tree" hit will have another blow this late spring or early summer. "Drastic Fantastic" will be the name of the sophomore effort and is coming out via Virgin Records around September.
"The second album sort of feels like the next half of a book rather than a totally different book," the singer said in a statement. "I'm really excited about that because the first album was made in the middle of the country, so I'm now looking at making an album in London. I think the city will always find its way under the door of the studio and imbed itself in what you're doing."

Numbers of famous celebrities, including the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Orlando Bloom, The Killers, Josh Hartnett, KT Tunstall, Pink, and Razorlight, are all teaming up launching a campaign to fight global warming.
The environmental campaign, called "Global Cool" project, was launched Tuesday Jan 30th and is aimed to get one billion people to reduce the carbon emissions they release into the atmosphere.

Meanwhile, fellow musician James Blunt won big with two awards all at once, namely The Most Performed Song and International Hit of the Year for his "You're Beautiful".
As for Best Album category, the award went to "Employment" from Kaiser Chiefs. In addition to those winners, there were also Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett of cartoon band Gorillaz who both were named Songwriters of the Year. The U.K. albums chart sees a newcomer on its list which at the same time becoming the chart topper as well. It's Corinne Bailey Rae. The English singer/songwriter comes in the U.K. albums chart at No. 1 with her self-titled debut set, pushing aside last week's champion Jack Johnson's "In Between Dreams" to No. 2.
Seat at No. 3 to No. 5 on the chart in succession are Arctic Monkeys' "Whatever People Say I Am That's What I'm", KT Tunstall's "Eye To The Telescope", and Kaiser Chiefs' "Employment", each of which falls one place from last week position. Meanwhile, at No. 6 is Neil Diamond's "12 Songs", one place ahead of Gorillaz' "Demon Days" at No. 7, both of which also slips one place from last week position.
Music Acts Won the Annual Brit Awards

The rockers picked home 3 awards all at once, which among others include British Rock Act, British Live Act, and British Group awards.
Also a big winner at the prestigious event was James Blunt who won the categories of Pop Act and British Male Solo Artist. Also winning two awards was Green Day, mainly for the categories of International Group and International Album for "American Idiot", and Coldplay who won the British Single for their "Speed Of Sound" and MasterCard British Album for "X&Y."
