Mischa Barton breaks her silence. The movie beauty spoke out for the first time since her DUI arrest last month, having an interview with E! News' Ryan Seacrest on his radio show on Thursday morning, January 10 to give her side of the story on the incident.

Told Seacrest she "obviously 100 percent responsible" for her actions in her DUI arrest, Mischa admitted "I'm really disappointed in myself. I don't know what to say about it except I'm not perfect. I just don't ever intend to do something this stupid again."

Recalled the chronology of her DUI arrest, Mischa explained "I was out with some friends and actually hadn't been driving earlier in the night, but I wanted to get my car home," adding that "I can't really get into specifics. We've got the case coming up, and I'm not supposed to say anything about what happened. I was pulled over."

On her being cited for not having a valid license at the time she was pulled over, Mischa said "I didn't have a license. I grew up in New York, the land of people who don't have to drive. It's always been the toughest thing about living in L.A. for me. I usually try not to get behind the wheel."

Mischa was pulled over around 2:45 A.M. on December 27 when she was driving on La Cienega Boulevard in West Hollywood, California. Authorities claimed to have seen her car straddling two lanes of traffic and failing to signal for a turn. Was then being arrested for investigation of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a license, as well as possessing a controlled substance and marijuana, she was released on $10,000 bail. Her arraignment is scheduled for February 28.
