Taking her time to turn up at the Los Angeles premiere of her latest producing work "", has informed USA TODAY that she is now gearing up for a biopic about the life of celebrated singer Lena Horne with to topline.
"We're going to start filming next year," she revealed. "And we've got Alicia."
The famous talk show host also pointed out that TV scribe Lloyd Kramer has been assigned to pen the script while admitting she still has no desire to return in front of the camera as an actress anytime soon. "I don't," she remarked. "I've let go of the need for that."
It is still unclear, however, whether the project will be a film feature or a rather made-for-TV movie. But the story it is set to present will likely revolve around Horne's rise to fame after singing the rendition of "Stormy Weather" in 1943.

Alicia would be perfect to play Lena Horne. The two negative commnets before are just jealous. Cant wait to see the movie. I hope a movie for Diana Ross is next. I appreciate the artist who do what they do to entertain us.
I just hope Alicia can ELIMINATE that eye-closing/neck working she does while singing - truly annoying and not Lena...
I feel That someone eles should play lena horn not Alicia, Give unknown people a chance to play her not someone who really don't know her.
