Movie Story
Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemorts defenses and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, the well-connected and unsuspecting bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information. Meanwhile, the students are under attack from a very different adversary as teenage hormones rage across the ramparts. Harry finds himself more and more drawn to Ginny, but so is Dean Thomas. And Lavender Brown has decided that Ron is the one for her, only she hadnt counted on Romilda Vanes chocolates! And then theres Hermione, simpering with jealously but determined not to show her feelings. As romance blossoms, one student remains aloof. He is determined to make his mark, albeit a dark one. Love is in the air, but tragedy lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again.

I think the prequel JKR did about the friendship between James and Sirius as teenagers would be a great read. We already got a taste of them in OoTP during Snape's worst memory (best part of the book), and that made me want to read more about the Marauders and their adventures at Hogwarts. If JK wrote a book about that I would buy it in an instant and I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one.

wow-how can anyone avoid these series? i've read the books over and over and am so addicted i don't see anyway to get out. And for those twilight readers...you shouldn't compare them-they aren't the same

I have read all of the Harry Potter adventures time and time again. It is one of the most creative and thrilling series of all times. The sixth book was awesome, but the seventh... i hate to say being a guy and all, but i cried like a little girl at the end. Every book in the series sucks you so far into the plot that i admire you if you can put it down. I read the 7th book in 2 days, and have read it twice since. I wish there were more coming, and i can say that i am truly sad to say goodbye to the harry potter legacy!!

I loved this book so much, it has so much mystery and dark magic, and a little romance in it! I thought it was cute when Harry fell for Ginny but he didn't want to go out with her because of what Ron might think. I'm so desperate to get the seventh book! I'm hoping Harry might become an Animagus in the next one- maybe a phoenix!
