"No Country for Old Men" and "The Golden Age" will be featured in along with local titles like "Fugitive Pieces", "The Tracey Fragments", and "Shake Hands with the Devil."

Though the official announcement won't come up until Tuesday, June 26, a series of film features have been confirmed to be screened at this year's Toronto International Film Festival with Jeremy Podeswa's "Fugitive Pieces" becoming the opening movie for the event as it comes to shape on September 6, 2007.

Locking in well-known titles, the festival has reportedly submitted the Coen Brothers' Cannes competition entry "No Country for Old Men" and period drama "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" in the list. Also included in the lineup are foreign productions like "4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days" and "The Flight of the Red Balloon" as well as local flicks "The Tracey Fragments" and "Shake Hands with the Devil."

Meanwhile, several other movies are said to still be in consideration for slots at the event. All are Canadian features namely "Eastern Promises", "Silk", and "The Age of Ignorance", a French-language comedy directed by Denys Arcand chosen to close the 2007 Cannes Film Festival last month.
