Finally picking up the best out of a slew of lauded titles and names, the International Press Academy (IPA) listed out on Sunday evening (Dec. 16) recipients of this year's Satellite Awards, giving away most honors to teen pregnancy drama "."

The Fox Searchlight release gloriously scooped up three major kudos in total, notably that of the Best Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical. Two others went to as the Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical and Diablo Cody as the recipient of best original screenplay.

After a memorable turn in the recently-held 32nd annual Toronto International Film Festival, "" smoothly extended its reach to the U.S. through its Los Angeles premiere on Monday, October 1, 2007, once again got public mesmerized mostly for the attendance of a number celebrated figures.

Slated to have its North American premiere as a Gala Presentation at the 32nd Toronto International Film Festival held this September, period drama "" will next encounter its world premiere at the upcoming Rome Film Festival as the opening movie for the event, organizers announced Thursday, July 12.

Marking the occasion, slated to take place in Sala Santa Cecilia on October 18, 2007, will be the movie's star , who will become the second Australian actress to open the festival after last year. Director Shekar Kapur is said to be also present to walk down the Auditorium’s Red Carpet alongside Blanchett there.

Though the official announcement won't come up until Tuesday, June 26, a series of film features have been confirmed to be screened at this year's Toronto International Film Festival with Jeremy Podeswa's "" becoming the opening movie for the event as it comes to shape on September 6, 2007.

Locking in well-known titles, the festival has reportedly submitted the Coen Brothers' Cannes competition entry "" and period drama "" in the list. Also included in the lineup are foreign productions like "" and "The Flight of the Red Balloon" as well as local flicks "" and "Shake Hands with the Devil."
