Film Honorees Named at the 12th Satellite Awards
December 18, 2007 10:12:07Finally picking up the best out of a slew of lauded titles and names, the International Press Academy (IPA) listed out on Sunday evening (Dec. 16) recipients of this year's Satellite Awards, giving away most honors to teen pregnancy drama "Juno."
The Fox Searchlight release gloriously scooped up three major kudos in total, notably that of the Best Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical. Two others went to Ellen Page as the Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical and Diablo Cody as the recipient of best original screenplay.

October 03, 2007 12:10:17After a memorable turn in the recently-held 32nd annual Toronto International Film Festival, "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" smoothly extended its reach to the U.S. through its Los Angeles premiere on Monday, October 1, 2007, once again got public mesmerized mostly for the attendance of a number celebrated figures.
Taking place at the Gibson Amphitheatre, Universal City Walk, the screening brought together cast members and celebrity guests that included Cate Blanchett, Abbie Cornish, Jordi Molla, director Shekhar Kapur, Rachel Roberts, John Schneider, and Dave Stewart of Eurythmics.

"The Golden Age" to Happen in Rome
July 13, 2007 03:07:23Slated to have its North American premiere as a Gala Presentation at the 32nd Toronto International Film Festival held this September, period drama "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" will next encounter its world premiere at the upcoming Rome Film Festival as the opening movie for the event, organizers announced Thursday, July 12.
Marking the occasion, slated to take place in Sala Santa Cecilia on October 18, 2007, will be the movie's star Cate Blanchett, who will become the second Australian actress to open the festival after Nicole Kidman last year. Director Shekar Kapur is said to be also present to walk down the Auditorium’s Red Carpet alongside Blanchett there.

Early Lineup Confirmed for the 32nd TIFF
June 23, 2007 02:06:05Though the official announcement won't come up until Tuesday, June 26, a series of film features have been confirmed to be screened at this year's Toronto International Film Festival with Jeremy Podeswa's "Fugitive Pieces" becoming the opening movie for the event as it comes to shape on September 6, 2007.
Locking in well-known titles, the festival has reportedly submitted the Coen Brothers' Cannes competition entry "No Country for Old Men" and period drama "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" in the list. Also included in the lineup are foreign productions like "4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days" and "The Flight of the Red Balloon" as well as local flicks "The Tracey Fragments" and "Shake Hands with the Devil."

Elizabeth Reaching The Golden Age
September 03, 2005 11:09:58Shekhar Kapur and Cate Blanchett are both about reaching their "Golden Age." The two of them are set to reprise their role in the up-coming sequel of the 1998 "Elizabeth," entitled "Elizabeth: The Golden Age."
Have been appointed to join them in the sequel is actor Clive Owen and Geoffrey Rush. "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" is scheduled for an April filming with William Nicholson and Michael Hirst work on the script.
