A new trailer for USA Network's upcoming miniseries "Political Animals" has landed online. It highlights more drama in the private life of political figures. While those issues could be useful for a journalist like Carla Gugino's Susan Berg, it could also be a weapon to take down such disgraceful politician as Ciaran Hinds' Bud Hammond, who is also a former President of the United States.

Sigourney Weaver plays Elaine Barrish, the ex-wife of Hammond. In the sneak-peek video, she appears to be annoyed by Berg, who launched her career by uncovering Hammond's affair. Now, Berg is pressing Barrish to reveal whether or not she's going to run for the White House.

Russell Brand didn't get much love from Katy Perry's fan after he split from her. A huge billboard featuring the British funnyman on Sunset Blvd. was vandalized by someone who apparently was a devotee of his estranged wife.

The ad obtained by TMZ promotes his new TV series "Brand X With Russell Brand", which was previously known as "Strangely Uplifting". It now has an additional white tagline that promotes Katy's film instead. "I would rather watch the Katy Perry movie," so it reads.

'Starship Troopers' Reboot Will Be Less Violent Than the Original Version

Sony Pictures' upcoming "Starship Troopers" reboot will likely not be as violent as the original Paul Verhoeven-directed version. The remake film's producer Toby Jaffe opened up that the new version, which is still in the early phase of production, will go back to the story in Robert Heinlein's original novel.

"The more expensive a film is, the harder it is now to make it that violent," Jaffe told Empire magazine. The producer who also works for Colin Farrell's "Total Recall" reboot added, "With 'Recall' in particular, we made a conscious choice to keep it tonally closer to something like 'Minority Report'. It gives the studio, and us as producers, the opportunity to reintroduce it in a new way."

Red Hot Chili Peppers Pay Tribute to Late Friend in 'Brendan's Death Song' Music Video

A little bit more than a year after debuting "Brendan's Death Song", Red Hot Chili Peppers have dropped a music video for the single. Staying true to the song's theme, the band once again pay homage to their longtime friend Brendan Mullen, who helped give birth to not only RHCP, but also the likes of The Go-Go's, X, The Weirdos and The Germs.

In the visuals shot in New Orleans under the direction of Marc Klasfeld, frontman Anthony Kiedis and his band mates are seen blending with a group of people, who attend a jazz funeral, and playing the song on the street. Despite the gloomy set, the four-piece group still deliver an energetic performance with a fiery backdrop toward the end of the clip.

R. Kelly Gets Sick, Cancels Visit to 'Today' and 'Jimmy Fallon'

R. Kelly sparks health scare. The R&B crooner suffered complications from a throat surgery he had last year. He was supposed to appear on "Today" show on June 28 and "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" on the following day, but was forced to scrap them all. He was also no longer scheduled to attend his book launch party in New York City.

"While on his way to New York this morning to celebrate the publication of his long-awaited memoir SoulaCoaster, multi-platinum R&B superstar R. Kelly was taken ill and had to return to Chicago for medical treatment," it's explained. "Initial indications are that he is suffering from complications from surgery he had last year to treat an abscess on his vocal cords."

As it gets closer to the U.S. release date of "The Amazing Spider-Man", a series of brand new clips for the movie have been debuted online. One of them focuses on the "Drainage" scene, where Spidey arranges his web in a culvert. Suddenly, a number of tiny lizards come and approach him before The Lizard shows himself.

Another snippet features the "Carjacker" scene where the masked vigilante makes fun of a car thief who thinks he's a cop. There are two other clips that give a longer look at the action scenes where The Lizard wreaks havoc on a bridge and the titular superhero must save a boy who is trapped in a nearly falling car.

It's official, "Iron Man 3" will come to Hall H during the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con. On Wednesday, June 27, Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios announced that they will be hosting the Hall H panel for the third armored hero film from 6 P.M. to 7 P.M. on Saturday, July 14.

During the "Iron Man 3" panel, producer Kevin Feige and some "special guests" are set to provide "an inside look at the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe." It is, however, still unclear who are the "special guests" that are set to attend the panel.

'Game of Thrones' Season 3 Adds Morocco as Filming Location

Gearing up for the production of "Game of Thrones" season 3, HBO has just shared some info on shooting locations, directors and writers. Slated to kick off in early July, the principal photography will return to Belfast, Croatia and Iceland. Morocco is added as the fourth country, likely as the backdrop for Daenerys' storyline.

In the directors line-up, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are going to take turn directing an episode while still providing the script. Alex Graves, Michelle MacLaren, Dan Minahan, David Nutter and Alik Sakharov will also direct episodes of the third season, while Alan Taylor is out of the mix since he will be busy working on "Thor 2".

The Salvation Army is preparing to close its Bethesda Centre, which currently becomes a home for unmarried mothers, despite efforts by Justin Bieber and her mom Pattie Mallette to raise funds for it. Pattie, who stayed for nine months in the shelter when she gave birth to the singer in 1994, was devastated by the news as saying, "It's sad. It's upsetting."

"I don't understand why they wouldn't extend it (the fundraising deadline) if there were all these solutions and opportunities," Pattie regretfully stated. Justin planned to donate proceeds from his Mother's Day song "Turn to You", while she wanted to donate proceeds from her memoir, due for release in the United States this coming September.

Another character from Marvel Comics' universe, The Human Fly, might get a big screen treatment. Deadline reports that a movie adaptation of the red costume-clad superhero is currently in development. It is said that Steven Goldmann is courted to direct it.

Goldmann and Alan Brewer have recently obtained the rights to "The Human Fly". The movie project has Cirque Du Soleil's in-house historian Tony Babinski serving as the screenwriter. Meanwhile, Brewer along with James Reach will serve as the producers.

Scarlett Johansson, Christina Aguilera and Renee Olstead may get settlement from their personal account hacker. Prosecutors said Christopher Chaney, who pleaded guilty to nine counts of computer hacking, should pay the celebrities a total of $150,000 in compensation and serve 71 months in prison.

Chaney hacked into email accounts of around 50 people in the entertainment industry daily. He managed to get the nude pictures of Johansson which were sent to her then-husband Ryan Reynolds. The 35-year-old man forwarded the pictures to another hacker and two celebrity websites which then started the worldwide circulation online.

Another Followill baby is on the way. Kings of Leon's drummer Nathan Followill announced that he and singer/songwriter wife Jessie Baylin are expecting their first child.

"I can proudly announce that me & the lovely @JessieBaylin are expecting our first child. I'm beyond excited/anxious. Life is beautiful," Nathan tweeted on Wednesday, June 27 morning.
