Tom Cruise reportedly is the selected actor to lead Warner Bros.' latest big-budget sci-fi war project, "We Mortals Are" or previously known as "All You Need Is Kill". THR quoted a producer as saying, "The studios are interested in him again."

Last month, there were whispers that WB wanted Brad Pitt to be the main star and Doug Liman as the director. It looks like, the plan to reunite Pitt and his "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" director did not go through. Liman is still attached because his other big-budget movie "Luna" was folded by Paramount.

It's been been five years since Tyrese Gibson dropped his last album "Alter Ego" before he delved deeper into acting world. During all those years, he did a lot of blockbuster movies including the three "Transformers" films, but never strayed away from his roots. He was featured on R. Kelly's 2009 song "Pregnant" and did a soundtrack for documentary movie "More Than a Game".

Now, the Machine Gun Joe of "Death Race" is coming back full force with a whole new album called "Open Invitation" which is due in the United States on November 1. "I'm here because you want me to be here. And this album 'Open Invitation', I've never been more proud of anything I've worked on musically," the Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter said in an exclusive interview with AceShowbiz.

Rihanna might be romancing a British boxer. After performing at the O2 Arena on Thursday, October 6 night, the "Umbrella" hitmaker was spotted getting cozy with Dudley O'Shaughnessy, who makes an appearance in her music video for new single "We Found Love", at London's hotspot Mahiki.

"Rihanna and Dudley looked really loved up and they didn't care who saw," a source told The Sun. "They were snogging the faces off each other, only coming up for air to dance." The source added, "Rihanna was wasted and really enjoying herself. She was the life and soul of the party as usual."

Lawrence O'Donnell has landed on hot water after being disrespectful to Herman Cain during an interview for "The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell". The host started out by reading an excerpt from the 65-year-old businessman's book which read, "I was too young to participate when they first started the freedom rides [of the civil rights movement] and sit-ins... I just kept going to school doing what I was supposed to do, and stayed out of trouble [as my father told me to]."

"Where do you think black people would be sitting on the bus today if Rosa Parks had followed your father's advise?" O'Donnell then asked Cain, who replied, "My father was not given Rosa Parks' advice. Here again, Lawrence, you are distorting the intent of what I said. I was a high school student. A brand new trailer for "Coriolanus" has been made available for viewing pleasure. Presenting plenty of action-packed scenes, the promo video revolves around Ralph Fiennes' titular character. It briefly shows his beef with Gerard Butler's Tullus Aufidius and the betrayal by his people.

An adaptation of a William Shakespeare's tragedy, this movie tells the story of Caius "Coriolanus" Martius. He is a revered and feared Roman General who finds himself at odds with the city of Rome and his fellow citizens after he seeks the exalted and powerful position of Consul.

"How to Be a Gentleman" has received the bad news. The new CBS comedy reportedly gets axed since production of the series will be shut down after 9 episodes, Deadline has learned. The final episode, meanwhile, is scheduled to wrap filming on Friday night, October 7.

Hours earlier, CBS officially announced that it bumps the David Hornsby-created series from Thursday 8:30 P.M. slot to a less coveted one on Saturday night at 8:30 P.M. While the move hinted the comedy show is heading to an end, the network did not mention anything about cancellation since it never officially cancels a series before the upfronts.

Gene Simmons' wedding to Shannon Tweed will be featured on the October 18 episode of "Gene Simmons' Family Jewels", but fans do not have to wait too long to catch a glimpse of it. In a behind-the-scenes look at the newlyweds' visit to Entertainment Tonight, clips from the October 1 nuptials are shared.

The competition moves on with Judges' Houses stage when "The X Factor (US)" returns next week. The 32 remaining contestants, who are divided into 4 groups, travel to Simon Cowell's, L.A. Reid's, Paula Abdul's and Nicole Scherzinger's pads, and are thrilled to find out who their mentors are.

To prepare them to be pop stars, Cowell tells the girl team to keep rehearsing. Jive, Arista and J Records, which became a home to Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, Pink and Alicia Keys among other big stars, have been closed down. New RCA Records CEO Peter Edge and longtime colleague Tom Corson announced the shut-down on October 7.

Corson explained their decision to axe the three giant labels to The Hollywood Reporter in a recent interview, saying, "The path we've taken is to refresh RCA, so we're going to retire those brands." The exec added, "There may be a reason down the line to bring them back, but it's a clean slate here."

A promo video for "The Avengers" has made its way out onto the web. Released by Entertainment Tonight days ahead of the Monday, October 10 airing of an exclusive footage, the preview offers a glimpse at some never-before-seen scenes from the highly anticipated superhero film.

Although it doesn't reveal too much, the video lets out a few shots of Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury, Chris Hemsworth's Thor, Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow and Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark. There's also a quick look at Thor who stands next to what looks like an Iron Man's armor.

The Winchesters are playing defendant and lawyer in next "Supernatural". In the upcoming outing, Sam and Dean investigate a string of gruesome murders and discover that the Egyptian god Osiris is behind the deaths, before one of them is targeted as the next victim.

Osiris is putting people on trial for their past mistakes and killing them if they're found guilty. Since Dean is carrying a lot of guilt, the vengeful god hones in on it and decides that the older Winchester is the next to stand trial.

Ashton Kutcher has a friend to share his troubles with as he deals with cheating scandal. According to Hollywood Life, the "Two and a Half Men" star has turned to "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest for support, and the two have been seen in deep conversation when attending Promise 2011 gala on September 27.

"Backstage Ashton took Ryan aside and thanked him for being such 'an incredible friend through such difficult times'," spilled a source over the two's meeting at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles. "They were in a deep conversation for about 40 minutes and at the end Ashton and Ryan gave each other a big hug."

Just a day after getting premiered to relatively-positive reviews, Beyonce Knowles' latest music video which was filmed to support her single "Countdown" stirs controversy. The video directed by Queen Bey and Adria Petty is rumored to be a rip-off of a work created by Belgian choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker.

From footage which puts together the two works, it's seen that some of the dance numbers in the newly-debuted clip does share similarities with the ones created by Anne. The most obvious one is a ballet routine which sees the wife of Jay-Z looking straight to the camera while playing with her clothes and hair. In the background, the dancers do their moves.

Kate Middleton and her sister Pippa are not showbiz stars, but their popularity has made them the figures worth to be discussed on "E! True Hollywood Story". The network has planned to premiere the one-hour special about the sister duo on Wednesday, October 12 at 10 P.M.

According to a press release, "E! Arnold Schwarzenegger has traveled back to his hometown in Austria to inaugurate a museum dedicated to his legacy. On Friday, October 7, the former California governor visited the Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum to officially open the Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum and unveil a bronze statue of himself.

Braving the rain and autumn chill, the estranged husband of Maria Shriver uncovered the statue that portrays him flexing his muscles in trunks during his early bodybuilding days. The Guardian reported that his 8-foot likeness was bronzed in Idaho before it was sent to the village of Thal where the museum is located.

A biopic about the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, who has just passed away after losing battle to pancreatic cancer, is being planned. Sony Pictures has sealed a hefty deal to acquire the rights to Jobs' authorized bio by Walter Isaacson, the former CNN chairman and Time Magazine managing editor.

Although Sony has not made any official statement on the 448-page book deal, Deadline reported that the studio has agreed to pay only $1 million against $3 million to buy the legal rights. It is also said that the company has tapped Mark Gordon to serve as the producer for the untitled Steve Jobs biopic.

"The Simpsons" is yet to die. Following a salary dispute between the main cast and 20th Century Fox Television which produces the show, it has just been officially announced on Friday noon, October 7 that the longest running primetime scripted show on the air will stay for two more seasons.

"FOX has renewed THE SIMPSONS, the longest-running comedy in television history, for an incredible 24th and 25th season, bringing the series total to an astonishing 559 episodes," the network which airs the animated series says in a statement. "In the words of Homer Simpson, 'Woo Hoo! I outlasted Andy Rooney!' "

After having two successful concerts at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City last month, Demi Lovato announces ten more dates on October 7. This time around, the former "Sonny with a Chance" star will not just perform in one place but will bring her entourage across the United States.

A day prior, Demi teased her Twitter followers by writing, "What a beeaauuutiful day. Guess what... I have an announcement to make VERY soon....!!!! :D." Hours later, she followed it up with a series of tweets, "This is it!!! Hope to see everyone soon on tour!!!:D I LOVE my fans... I cannot wait to see you guys on the road.. :)."

Life does imitate art for Kristin Davis. Taking the cue from Charlotte York, her character on "Sex and the City", the 46-year-old actress welcomed a baby girl through domestic adoption a few months ago. When sharing the happy news, she revealed that she named the new addition to her home Gemma Rose Davis.

Selena Gomez returned the favor for boyfriend Justin Bieber who popped out at one of her tour stops earlier this year. She was a surprise guest at Bieber's Rio de Janeiro concert on Thursday, October 6.

Hours before taking the stage for the second night in the city, Bieber tweeted, "Had a lil fun last night in RIO ... show #2 in RIO is 2nite ... got some very special guests with me 2nite. #Mistletoe." Patricia Arquette has come into conclusion that a celebrity can not befriend random strangers over Facebook. The actress has deactivated her account after one of her "friends" on the social network began harassing her online.

Through an experiment, Arquette wanted to find out whether she could get to know any regular folk as a person. "Could you really become friends? Could you move past all that they had in their mind about you and actually show them the real you?" she wrote on her page and answered, "I would say on a large part yes."

Sugarland will return to the site where some of their fans were killed while waiting for them to take the stage. The country duo have scheduled a free concert in Indianapolis, Ind. where a stage at Indiana Fairgrounds collapsed and killed six people back in August.

"We will return to Indiana for a free concert at Conseco Fieldhouse on Oct. 28th," they tweeted on Friday, October 7. "Get all your info here: #LOVE". They will also collect donations for the Indiana State Fair Remembrance Fund in memory of the victims, both the deceased and the injured.
