RCA Records Kicks Out Lee DeWyze but Keeps Other 'Idol' Winners

Lee DeWyze, the winner of "American Idol" season 9, is dropped from RCA Records. However, the 25-year-old is still managed by 19's management and he said recently that new music is on the works.

Newly appointed RCA Records CEO Peter Edge confirmed in an interview with THR last week that DeWyze is no longer with the label. Sony Music CEO Doug Morris took the reigns in July and under him, RCA has absorbed the rosters of Jive, Arista and J Records. These labels have signed "Idol" winners and runners up in the past.

NBC Picks Up Sitcom Starring Snoop Dogg

From the man who has written episodes of "Two and a Half Men", "My Wife and Kids" and "Everybody Hates Chris", comes a new sitcom that has Snoop Dogg as the main star. Don Reo's comedy project has landed at NBC with a script in the works.

Per Deadline, Snoop will play a dad in the show. The rapper, who has previously worked with Reo on FOX's sitcom "Brothers", will also have a producer's credit. No other details about the show were released.

Before performing, Wood demanded a black leather jacket to add some swag and also adjusted her fringe to match Bieber's old hairstyle. Host Jimmy Fallon supported her performance by dancing.

"Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works. - Steve Jobs RIP," the 33-year-old first tweeted. He followed it up with another tweet that read, "Sending love & light to everyone @Apple & the entire Jobs family.Today we lost a Giant who will be missed even by those who didn't know him."

The magazine explained, "She's not afraid to shill products like Virgin Mobile phones in her videos and her network of 14 million Twitter followers crash servers trying to download her singles as soon as they become available. Her latest album, 'Born This Way', sold 1 million copies in its first week."

The rocker, who wrote the '80s glam rock band's hits "Cherry Pie" and "I Saw Red", was found dead at a hotel in Los Angeles on August 11. His body was discovered at the Comfort Inn hotel in Woodland Hills, California, and some sources said that a half-empty vodka bottle was found near his body along with prescribed medicine.

Apple Co-Founder Steve Jobs Died Peacefully, Family Says

Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple Inc., passed away on Wednesday, October 5, less than two months after he handed over his position as the company's CEO to Tim Cook. In a brief statement about his passing, his family said that the 56-year-old "died peacefully".

His family also noted that the man, who also helped bring the computer-animated characters Woody and Buzz Lightyear to the screen in "Toy Story" movies, died "surrounded by his family". Their statement further read, "In his public life, Steve was known as a visionary; in his private life, he cherished his family. One of the acts contributing to this Saturday, October 8 tribute event for Michael Jackson has pulled out of their commitments. Promoters said that Black Eyed Peas have suddenly become "unable to perform" due to "unavoidable circumstances".

"It is with regret that we announce the removal of Black Eyed Peas from the Michael Forever bill, but I look forward to a great night with other earth-shattering artists," Chris Hunt, CEO of Global Live Events, said in a statement.
