NHL Player Derek Boogaard Found Dead at Age 28

NHL player Derek Boogaard was found dead in his Minneapolis apartment on Friday, May 13 by members of his family. Boogaard, also known as Boogy, joined the New York Rangers in July 2010, appearing in 22 games in the 2010-11 season. He was only 28 at the time of death.

Boogaard was sidelined in several games of the regular season after suffering concussion and shoulder injury. However, it is not yet determined whether the injuries contribute to his death and autopsy will be done to find out the cause. His family is yet to release a statement regarding his passing but his fans and colleagues have expressed their sympathy.

The "Poker Face" superstar Lady GaGa showed up at posh private members club Annabel's in London's Mayfair to play a surprise set of tracks from her new album, just hours after delighting fans with a performance at the Cannes Film Festival in France that day.

She played to 200 guests, including former Spice Girls member Geri Halliwell and comedian Stephen Fry, but GaGa only had eyes for supermodel Kate Moss, who was dancing in front of the stage.

The finished version of Lil Wayne's "John" video which leaked in April is now officially released. The video features Wayne's collaborator Rick Ross sitting on a wheelchair with spinner in an abandoned building. Director of the video, Colin Tilley, told MTV that there's no specific reason of the scene, only what he envisioned when he first heard the song.

"When I first talked to Wayne about the video, we had just done the 'Look at Me Now' video, and he really liked the whole feel of that video, how there was just so much goin' on and just the whole energy and colors and all that," Tilley said. "That's pretty much what they gave me when they gave me the song. They were like, 'We just love that energy and we want that whole vibe from it'."

"Fright Night" gets its first trailer. The creepy atmosphere in the video, obtained via IGN, starts when Evil Ed tells Charley Brewster that his new neighbor is a vampire. It turns darker when Charley sees Jerry Dandrige sinking his teeth into a girl.

In addition to the trailer, the site gets its hand on the first poster for the thriller movie. The one sheet features Charley who is holding an ax, apparently ready to slay the vampire. In the meantime, Jerry's face is seen in the background.

Kym Johnson is "gonna be okay," Mark Ballas said of his fellow "Dancing with the Stars" dancer who took a nasty spill during rehearsal with partner Hines Ward on Friday, May 13. Mark gave an update to Kym's condition after he got some face time with the injured dancer.

Similarly, Kym's representative has assured that she is doing okay. "Kym injured herself during rehearsals today. She was taken to the hospital for precautionary measures, to assure she is okay," the rep said in a statement released following the incident.

Voldemort Narrates First TV Spot for 'Deathly Hallows: Part II'

Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first TV spot for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II". The new preview mostly focuses on Ralph Fiennes' Lord Voldemort who leads the war between his Death Eaters and the wizarding community. He also narrates the video and asks Harry Potter to join him and confront his fate.

Lord Voldemort's power is getting stronger, and he now has control over the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts. To prevent He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named from ruling the wizarding world, Harry has to make the ultimate sacrifice as he draws closer to the climactic showdown with the Dark Lord.

Rep Confirms Jenna Fischer Pregnant With First Child

Jenna Fischer follows the footstep of her character from "The Office", Pam Halpert, in having a baby of her own. Her representative has just confirmed that the 37-year-old actress is expecting her first child with screenwriter husband Lee Kirk.

The TV star showed off her baby bump on Wednesday night, May 11 when she was spotted at Los Angeles's Red O Restaurant. Earlier this year, she opened up to Redbook magazine that she has been thinking more about having children after becoming an aunt. "I already wanted kids, but even more so now," she said at the time.

'Vampire Diaries' Creator Talks Finale and Season 3

"The Vampire Diaries" has just wrapped up the second season on Thursday, May 12 with a big bang, and showrunner Julie Plec is already prepared to answer questions as well as to talk about the new season. [Spoiler Alert] In an interview with TV Line, Plec explained among others why Vicky and Anna are back, how it impacts Jeremy, and whether the tender moment between Elena and Damon will lead to something.

First of all, Plec gave the reason of bringing back the dead through ghost form. "That is something we'd had in the works for a really, really long time - in fact, almost back to beginning of this season - and it was born out of two things: Kayla [Ewell] was so much a part of the Vampire Diaries family in the beginning and we missed her terribly, and Malese [Jow] made such an impact last year as Anna."

Ashton Kutcher Officially Joins 'Two and a Half Men', Chuck Lorre Gleeful

Within hours after the first report that Ashton Kutcher is touted to replace Charlie Sheen on "Two and a Half Men", CBS gives a press release to confirm the news. The "Punk'd" pioneer who started his career on television as one of the stars of "That '70s Show" is to join the ninth season production which begins this summer for fall premiere.

"I can't wait to get to work with this ridiculously talented 2.5 team and I believe we can fill the stage with laughter that will echo in viewers' homes," said Kutcher. "I can't replace Charlie Sheen but I'm going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people!"
