'Dark Knight Rises': Tom Hardy's Bane Won't Look Like the One in 'Batman & Robin'

Tom Hardy has spoken up about his role in "The Dark Knight Rises" when appearing on British talk show "Alan Carr: Chatty Man". And good news for fans who are not into the way the villainous character looked in "Batman & Robin", the "Inception" star has stated that his version will be significantly different from the one in the 1997 film.

"Have you seen Joel Schumacher's 'Batman & Robin'? Doesn't look very menacing, does he?" Hardy starts his explanation with rhetoric questions. "Christopher Nolan will revisit the character so I wouldn't go by that at all." Asked further if he would wear Bane's mask in the film, he jokingly answers, "Only if I feel like it!"

Kasabian rocker Tom Meighan was petrified when he made his acting debut, insisting he was more nervous stepping in front of a camera than performing on stage for thousands. The British musician signed up to play the part of a bodyguard in upcoming sitcom "Walk Like a Panther", but he couldn't shake off his nerves.

He tells Q magazine, "I loved it but I was s**ting myself first of all. When I was driving on set I was thinking, 'F**k, f**k, f**k.' It was more nerve-racking than playing (U.K. music festival) Glastonbury."

Singers LeAnn Rimes, Elvis Costello and Seal are calling for increased funding to keep school music programs alive. A flurry of music stars are backing the MusiCares campaign urging the U.S. government to provide more money for the arts within education.

Costello is adamant the whole country will suffer if children don't have an outlet to express themselves. He tells Fox News, "You don't get it back once you cut it, and the country will be poorer. You can spend money on other things but unless you keep the balance between skills and arts, then you're not going to have strong people going in to the future."

Vince Neil Thinks Jail Sentence Is 'Harsh'

Neil has now spoken out about the sentence and accepts his punishment "is what it is", although he insists it is "a little harsh". Jay-Z Wins Legal Battle Over Restaurant Name

Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z has won the latest round in an ongoing legal battle over the name of a restaurant in England. The rapper filed suit against celebrity chef Terry Miller five years ago over the name of his Rockafella restaurant in Newcastle, claiming the title would lead to confusion with his Roc-A-Fella Records music empire.

A judge ruled in Miller's favor and last year, he was granted the U.K. trademark for the restaurant and food-branding name Rockafella, while Jay-Z was ordered to pay the cook's legal costs. But the "99 Problems" hitmaker appealed the decision and was handed victory during a hearing in London on Monday, February 21.

The "Lost" star has launched an extraordinary rant about the mainstream film industry in the U.S., branding romantic comedies unfunny and claiming he "hates" acting and is not in "any hurry" to progress up the career ladder.

He tells Britain's Live magazine, "Look at 3D. That's a major setback to good storytelling. I took my little boy to see The Last Airbender. It was an awful film. The director M. Night Shyamalan hasn't directed a good movie since The Sixth Sense."

The Scottish singer, who shot to fame after appearing on "Britain's Got Talent" in 2009, sold 3.7 million copies of "The Gift" abroad, while her debut, "I Dreamed a Dream", shifted six million.

Sade's "Soldier of Love" was the second best-selling with 2.3 million, Mumford & Sons' debut "Sigh No More" sold 1.3 million and Muse's "The Resistance" was fourth with a million copies, according to figures compiled by Music Week magazine.

The Academy Award-nominated film, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio, was recognized for best sound editing in the categories of sound effects & foley and music in a feature film.
