A new production date for "The Hobbit" has been announced on Monday, February 7. 3Foot7 Ltd states that the film will begin shooting on Monday, March 21, which is about a month later than the previously aimed February start date.

"This date has been chosen following practical considerations of the filming schedule requirements, actor availability and the NZ seasons," the announcement says. "Shooting will take place at Stone Street Studios in Miramar and on location around New Zealand."

Nick Jonas, who is show-less after "JONAS L.A." was canceled last year, would be a guest on Matthew Perry's brand new sitcom "Mr. Sunshine". Photos from the episode have been released, showing Nick interacting with the main character and carrying guitar as an artist named Eli.

"Brothers & Sisters" actor Balthazar Getty has lost his father, oil heir John Paul Getty III. The 54 year old, the grandson of oil tycoon Jean Paul Getty, died on Sunday, February 6 in Buckinghamshire, England after a long illness.

Getty had been in poor health since 1981 when a drug overdose caused a stroke, which left him paralyzed and nearly blind. The overdose came just eight years after he was kidnapped in Rome, Italy and held for a $17 million ransom. His captors, who cut off part of his ear, were never found but Getty was discovered alive in southern Italy in 1973.

Zsa Zsa Gabor celebrated her 94th birthday on Sunday, February 6 with a sweet treat - the ailing star indulged in a piece of cake. Doctors and nurses at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles sang "Happy Birthday" to the veteran actress before she was discharged on Sunday to enjoy her big day at home.

James McAvoy is ready to step into Sir Elton John's shoes to bring his life story to the big screen - the rocker reveals the "Atonement" star has "already offered" to take on the lead in an upcoming biopic. The Rocket Man and his partner, Canadian film producer David Furnish, are teaming up with British screenwriter Lee Hall for the new project.

They're hunting for an actor to play Sir Elton, and the singer/songwriter admits McAvoy could be in with a chance. He tells Britain's Sunday Express, "James could do it and he's already offered. I'd just like to make a really great film about my life story."

Cult British rockers Cathedral have announced plans to split after 21 years. The group's upcoming 2011 tour will mark its final dates and a 2012 studio album will be Cathedral's last release.

A statement from frontman Lee Dorrian, obtained by Blabbermouth.net, reads, "It's simply time for us to bow out. Twenty one years is a very long time and it's almost a miracle that we managed to come this far."

Formula One race ace Robert Kubica has suffered serious injuries following a car crash during an Italian rally. The Polish Lotus Renault team driver, 26, was airlifted to the Santa Corona di Pietra Ligure Hospital after losing control of his Skoda Fabia car during the Ronde de Andorra rally near Testico, and crashing at high speeds.

Reports suggest he has suffered multiple injuries to his arm, leg and hand. He is currently undergoing surgery as medics attempt to restore the functionality of his right hand, according to Kubica's manager Daniel Morelli. The 2011 Formula One season begins in Bahrain on March 13.

"How to Train Your Dragon" was the big winner at the Annie Awards on Saturday, February 5 after Disney boycotted the animation prizegiving. The 3D film is expected to lose out to Disney's "Toy Story 3" at the Oscars later this month, but "How to Train Your Dragon" had a moment of glory in Hollywood at the weekend.

The snippet for "Priest" lacks fresh footage and mainly shows Paul Bettany's character in a battle against vampires. "Just Go with It" snippet features funny footage when Adam Sandler's Danny is involved in an accident during an outbound.

Actress Tura Satana has died of heart failure at the age of 72. The star passed away in Reno, Nevada on Friday night, February 4, her longtime manager, Siouxzan Perry, tells the New York Times.

Born in 1938, Satana began her career as a teenage model before moving into acting. The "Cowboys & Aliens" snippet gives the first look at the alien spacecrafts and topless Olivia Wilde seen from her backside. Producers of "The King's Speech" have settled a dispute with animal rights campaigners who threatened to sue over the use of the phrase 'No Animals Harmed' in the film's credits. Bosses at the American Humane Association (AHA), who have a trademark on the phrase, demanded the removal of the end-credits pledge that no animals were harmed during the shoot, as they were not involved in the production.

The public advocacy group only allows the tag to be used when officials have been given access to the set and copies of the script to certify that animals are treated well, according to the Hollywood Reporter. See-Saw Films executives have since reached out to AHA bosses to assure them animal welfare was a high priority on set, and the matter over the certification used has since "been resolved".

Christina Aguilera was left embarrassed when she messed up the lyrics of "The Star-Spangled Banner" during the live telecast of Super Bowl XLV. The five-time Grammy winner performed the song on Sunday, February 6 in front of thousands of sport mania at Cowboys Stadium in North Texas.

Lindsay Lohan is to be charged with felony grand theft for allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Venice, California jewelery store. According to TMZ.com, the Los Angeles County District Attorney is expected to file the case against the actress on Monday, February 7 following an investigation into the missing necklace, which was reportedly turned over to police by one of the star's associates last week.

Surveillance video from the store shows Lohan with the necklace in question on January 22, and there are photos of her wearing what appears to be the same necklace a week later. If convicted the "Mean Girls" star faces a return to prison - for a maximum of three years.

Paramount Pictures have debuted super bowl spot for their upcoming sci-fi films, "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" and "Super 8". Premiered via Michael Bay Dot Com before it was aired on TV, the snippet for the third "Transformers" film shares a huge battle that happens on city's street but still keeps the plot a secret.

The TV spot for "Super 8" meanwhile sees an exploding train, a stumbling camera and some people with terrified expression. While the tense scenes are playing, someone is saying "Do not speak of this. If you do, they will find you."

Movie star Shia LaBeouf was handcuffed by police after a bar fight in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles on Friday, February 4 night. Cops were called to sports bar Mad Bulls Tavern after reports a fight broke out between the "Transformers" star and another patron, according to HollyScoop.com.

LaBeouf, who is a regular at the new bar, was detained for 20 minutes and then allowed to leave the scene. According to witnesses, the actor was punched in the face during the scuffle. It is not known what sparked the fight, but one onlooker tells WENN LaBeouf wasn't the instigator.

Irish guitar great Gary Moore has died at the age of 58. The former Thin Lizzy star's body was found at the Kempinski Hotel on the Costa del Sol in Spain on Sunday, February 6. Moore was holidaying at the time of his death.

The cause of death has not been released. Born in Belfast in 1952, Moore, real name Robert William Gary Moore, enjoyed chart success with Thin Lizzy and as a solo artist with hits like "Out in the Fields" and "Empty Rooms."
