Phillip Noyce is not on board for a follow-up to "Salt", which has Angelina Jolie as lead actress. In contrary to report mentioning he is interested to return to the possible sequel, the helmer has just stated that he has no plan to make the second film.

"Those 3 [alternate] Blu-ray cuts [of the film] represent just about everything I have to offer on Evelyn Salt", Noyce tells Moviehole. He goes on explaining, "If there ever is a sequel, better its directed by someone with a completely fresh take on what I believe could be a totally entertaining and complex series of stories."

TV special Christmas in Washington has finally aired for public viewing pleasure over the weekend. Hosted by Ellen DeGeneres and attended by U.S. President Barack Obama and his family, it featured live performances from Mariah Carey and Matthew Morrison.

"Survivor" has done all-star editions, pitted the young and the old, and put heroes and villains at each other's throat. In its 22nd year, the reality show is in need of a big twist in the rule and so the producers came up with "Survivor: Redemption Island". Fresh off crowning Jud 'Fabio' Birza as the "Nicaragua" winner, CBS releases the trailer while EW publishes an interview with host Jeff Probst.

The trailer shows a familiar terrain because the new season was also shot in San Juan del Sur Beach in Nicaragua. But there will be a separate island which would accommodate the outcast. "How it works is very simple," Probst explained to EW. "When you're voted out at Tribal Council, you don't go home. You're not out of the game. You go to Redemption Island and you live alone."

Justin Timberlake is adamant fans of his music are upset with him turning his attentions to acting - insisting his followers view him as "ungrateful" for his pop achievements. The "SexyBack" hitmaker was lauded for his portrayal of internet entrepreneur Sean Parker in "The Social Network" earlier this year and he's currently preparing to promote four other projects over the next 12 months.

And despite insisting he will return to music in the future, Timberlake has addressed his fans who see him as a traitor for focusing on films - and asks them what they would do if they got the chance to make it big in the movies.

R&B beauty Ciara would love to bare all for a magazine photoshoot - so she can "look back" and admire her youthful appearance when she's in her old age. The "Goodies" star admits she has no qualms about stripping off for the cameras, but only if it's done tastefully.

She tells Us Weekly, "I embrace my body. At the right time and for the right magazine, I'd definitely consider it. Then when I'm 50, I can look back and say, 'Girl, you did your thang (sic)!'"

"Toy Story 3" may be the end of the feature film series, but the characters will not be subsequently dead. Disney and Pixar had previously announced that they will make "Toy Story" short film and apparently are moving forward with their plan as Disney animator Floyd Norman recently tweeted, "Ken and Barbie want to go to Hawaii. I don't know what it's gonna be attached to. Fun stuff, however."

While various sites linked his tweet to "Toy Story" short, he claimed he has no idea if the work he referred to as "Hawaii" is the one which has been planned to be attached to "Cars 2". "I honestly have no idea what short will precede 'Cars2.' In any case, it's been a busy week," he added later.

Rapper Charles Hamilton is in trouble with the law again - he has been arrested over allegations he attacked a police officer. The troubled rising hip-hop star hit the headlines in July after he checked into a mental institution in New York in a bid to try to deal with the stress of working in the music industry. He was subsequently released after a week following treatment in the hospital's psychiatric unit.

But Hamilton was arrested last week after he reportedly caused trouble at a series of bars in Cleveland, Ohio. He allegedly struck an officer who was investigating, resulting in an assault charge, according to AllHipHop.com. The rapper's bail has been set at $25,000, reports the website.

Amy Adams is in no rush to shed her baby weight - because she never relied on her "rockin' bod" to land work before she fell pregnant. The "Doubt" actress announced her pregnancy last year and welcomed little Aviana into the world with fiance Darren Le Gallo in May.

But despite seven months passing, Adams is taking losing her pregnancy weight slowly, because carrying a child helped her appreciate her body. And the star is adamant a few extra curves and bulges will never hamper her serious acting career.

"The Social Network" continues to thrill America's movie experts - it was named Best Picture by the Houston Film Critics Society on Saturday, December 18. David Fincher's movie, about the invention of Facebook.com, has already garnered favor from critics' groups in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Indiana. The movie also landed six Golden Globe nominations when the contenders were announced last week.

And it went on to take home the biggest prize at the Houston Film Critics Society in Texas over the weekend, as well as trophies for Jesse Eisenberg for Best Actor, Best Director for Fincher and Best Screenplay for Aaron Sorkin.

Justin Bieber is going to try something different for his next studio installment. The 2010 AMAs Artist of the Year has recruited Grammy-winning country music band Rascal Flatts for his collaborator. He tweeted, "I love @RascalFlatts and Im honored that they are making music with me."

Rascal Flatts' singer Gary LeVox has also spilled the beans on that matter, saying they have been contacted by Bieber's management to work with the teen. He stated in a radio interview, "It's actually a really good song!" He additionally praised Bieber, "The kid is really talented. He plays five or six different instruments really well."

Both "Hooked" and "Just Go" are lifted from Musso's new album "Brainstorm" which is now available on Walmart with eight songs on the line-up. There will be a music video for each of the tracks which have continuing story that forms "one fluid story from the beginning to the end." "Just Go" is the fifth clip from those eight videos.

AMC moves on from promoting its acclaimed new series "The Walking Dead" to new crime drama series "The Killing". Coming this March, "Killing", as seen in the new trailer and featurette, will present a show in a different approach. Viewers are allowed to see from three perspectives and each episode will follow a full day in the three parties' life.

Set in Seattle, the series is based on the successful Danish television series "Forbrydelsen" and tells the story of the murder of a young girl and the subsequent police investigation. It comes from the executive producer of "Burn Notice", Mikkel Bondesen.

Warner Bros. has announced the shifts of release schedule for some of their films. "Something Borrowed", which will see Ginnifer Goodwin starring as a law firm employee torn between his best friend (Kate Hudson) and the love of her life, is moved up from June 10, 2011 release to May 6 of the same year.

"Horrible Bosses", which was previously due to come out on July 29, 2011, is now listed for general summer release. This happens since the studio has given the movie's old slot to "Crazy, Stupid, Love.", which once was set for April 22, 2011 release.

The photographic evidence that Tony Romo went down to his knee when asking Candice Crawford's hand in marriage has surfaced. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback proposed to the former beauty queen when they were celebrating her 24th birthday at Five Sixty restaurant in Dallas last Thursday, December 16.

In the photo obtained by TMZ, Candice covers her lips and appears to be taken aback. According to several reports, Candice's family, including brother Chace Crawford, were there to witness the special occasion.

Pop star Matt Cardle has shot to the top of the U.K. singles chart to score the coveted Christmas number one after claiming victory on Simon Cowell's British reality TV show "The X Factor" last weekend. Pop superstar Madonna is itching to get back into the studio to begin work on her next album, revealing she is "on the look out" for hot new collaborators to work with. The "Material Girl" hitmaker released her last project, "Hard Candy", in 2008 and has spent her time since working on her second directorial venture, upcoming drama "W.E.", as well as launching her first Hard Candy Fitness center in Mexico earlier this month.

The first image from "Ice Age: Continental Drift" has landed online while the movie itself will only come in one and a half year. Obtained by Blogmatic3000, the photo gives a look at Scrat the sabretooth squirrel standing on a sea ice and eying a nut across him.

Scrat will still be voiced by Chris Wedge. Other original voice cast such as Ray Romano, Queen Latifah, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Seann William Scott and Josh Peck will also return to voice Manny, Ellie, Sid, Diego, Crash and Eddie respectively.

Despite her effort to downplay rumor that she's dating Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez was spotted getting cozy with the Canadian singer over the weekend. Sporting a white top, the Disney songstress visited Bieber in his tour bus after his My World concert on Saturday night, December 18 at the American Airlines Arena.

Earlier that day, Gomez, 18, and Bieber, 16, were photographed strolling the streets of Miami Beach. Irish pop star Ronan Keating is set to fulfill a musical dream by working with Burt Bacharach in 2011. The Boyzone singer is preparing to start work on another solo album in the New Year before heading out on tour with the band.

James Blunt is a single man again after splitting from his Spanish girlfriend, according to a new report. The British singer/songwriter has been dating model Sabina Vidal since summer this year, and recently sparked rumors of an impending proposal by talking about his desire to settle down and start a family.

Sad news comes from Paramore. Despite their increasing popularity, the band have to lose two of their founding members Josh Farro and Zac Farro. The split rumor had been swirling on the web for a while now and was finally confirmed by them over the weekend.

Politicians in the U.S. Senate repealed the law on Friday, December 17 and GaGa has now spoken of her delight. Rascal Flatts bassist Jay DeMarcus is a first-time father - his wife Allison Alderson gave birth to a baby girl on Friday, December 17. The couple welcomed its first child, a daughter named Madeline Leigh DeMarcus, on Friday afternoon, with the tot weighing in at a healthy six pounds, nine ounces (3.1 kilograms).

DeMarcus announced the happy news in a post on his Twitter.com page, writing, "It's true! Madeline Leigh DeMarcus was born yesterday at 4:49pm. She weighed 6 lbs, 9 oz... Ali and I are so excited!"

Less than a month after announcing the nominees of the 15th Annual Satellite Awards, the International Press Academy has unveiled the winners on December 19. Dominating the list in movie were "The Social Network" and "Inception" with three gongs each.

Hollywood actor Owen Wilson has spoken of his relief after his brother survived a terrifying shark attack in Hawaii. Andrew Wilson, older brother to actor brothers Owen and Luke Wilson, was bitten while he surfed with friends, and although the deadly fish clamped down on his right foot, he managed to escape serious injury and swim back to shore.

The "Wedding Crashers" star only heard about the incident when he texted his big brother to ask about a problem with his TV and was shocked by his sibling's response. He tells TV host Jay Leno, "Just the other day I was sending a message to Andrew about some guy coming by to take a look at the TV."

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds have proved their split is amicable by meeting up for a friendly dinner in New York City, according to a U.S. report. The Hollywood couple called time on its two-year union earlier this month, but dismissed rumors of an ugly break-up by insisting they plan to end their marriage with "love and kindness".

Jeff Bridges closed the 2010 "Saturday Night Live" edition with a high note. The "Tron Legacy" actor appeared in some impressive sketches which include a duet with Cookie Monster, a Nick Nolte impression, and a Dog the Bounty Hunter imprint.

In celebration of Christmas, Bridges sang a holiday tune "Silver Bells" with the help of Cookie Monster who auditioned for a part on the variety show last month. The blue monster wished for an iPad from Santa but then corrected, "cookieeeees". A representative for Demi Lovato has moved to silence rumors the troubled singer/actress is featured in a soon-to-be-leaked sex tape - branding the story "disgusting". The Disney star, who is currently in rehab battling emotional and physical issues, hit headlines on Friday, December 17 when a series of racy pictures emerged online, appearing to show the 18 year old posing in just a bra and partly exposing her breasts.

The photographs prompted online gossips to speculate there could be more embarrassing revelations yet to come, but a spokesperson for Lovato is adamant claims of a sex tape are not true. The rep tells Gossip Cop, "Perpetrating these completely unfounded rumours from supposed sources while Demi is in treatment dealing with serious physical and emotional issues is disgusting."

"Tron Legacy" enters North American Box Office with a blast. It rakes in an estimated $43.6 million on its first weekend and snatches the top spot from "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" which could only secure the champ title for a week. According to Rotten Tomatoes, the movie owes it to nation's movie critics who recommended it.

The movie, which lures fans of 1982 "Tron", has 55% of the audience consisting of couples. "All the fans of the first movie are bringing a girlfriend or wife to share the experience with. But the blend of the audience will get younger," Disney worldwide president of marketing Chuck Viane says.

Lindsay Lohan's father has confirmed the actress has been moved to a new rehab facility amid fears for her safety. The "Mean Girls" star has been enrolled at California's Betty Ford clinic since October when a judge ordered her to complete three months of treatment for violating her probation stemming from a DUI arrest.

The actress was rumored to have left the facility this week following reports she has been receiving strange phone calls, with Britney Spears' former manager/companion Sam Lutfi alleged to have been in contact with her. But Lohan's father Michael has dismissed allegations Lutfi was the reason for her move - revealing "two other individuals" led to the switch.

It's been a year since Kevin Jonas married Danielle Deleasa and the couple appears to be happier than ever. They celebrated their first wedding anniversary by visiting the Magic Kingdom in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, posing in front of the castle with Cinderella and Prince Charming.

The weekend performance was Weezy's first TV appearance since he was released from jail in early November this year and his second "SNL" gig following his performance in the 2008 season premiere of the TV show.
