Officials at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have reacted with fury after 50 Cent posted a picture on Twitter.com showing him holding a knife to a small dog. The "In Da Club" hitmaker uploaded the controversial shot to his page on the microblogging site on Monday, September 20 and PETA's Michelle Cho was quick to slam the star for the photo.

In a post on her page, she writes, "Sorry 50 Cent but that pic is not funny considering how many calls we get from ppl (people) alerting us to dogs who really have been stabbed." The message was 'retweeted' on PETA's official page - but the rapper angrily dismissed the criticism.

Robbie Williams killed any chance of romance blossoming with Kylie Minogue on the set of their video for "Kids" - because he laughed at the Aussie when she stripped off for a sexy scene. The pop stars united for the 2000 duet and filmed a raunchy promo to accompany the track - but the "Angels" hitmaker offended Minogue when he caught sight of her naked.

In his new book You Know Me, Williams reveals, "I just burst out laughing, which I don't think went down well with Kylie. Steven Spielberg is reportedly interested to direct a robot movie. According to New York Magazine's Vulture, the acclaimed filmmaker has been considering to make "Robopocalypse" as his next project.

"With DreamWorks, everything is potentially a Steven project - until it's not. That's why everyone's in a frenzy trying to read it," a source tells the site. Elaborating the statement, Vulture says, "If Spielberg does it, agents will be desperate to get their acting clients hired for the film. A representative for Miley Cyrus has dismissed rumors the "Hannah Montana" star is living with her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth following their recent reconciliation. The couple called off their relationship in August, but sparked speculation they had reunited earlier this month when they were seen picnicking near Cyrus' California home.

They showed off their romantic reunion days later when they were spotted kissing in the Disney star's car - and reports subsequently surfaced alleging the pair had moved in together. But a representative for Cyrus has dismissed the claims, telling GossipCop.com, "They don't live together."

Steve Carell's last season on "The Office" would be marked with "Nepotism". Several clips from the season opener which is two days away (September 23) have been released. Michael Scott refuses to fire the new office assistant (guest star Evan Peters) after everyone complains about his bad attitude.

Lady GaGa has taken it to the podium to voice her protest over 1993 policy, "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", which prohibits service members from revealing if they're gay. Dressing in a dark suit and a patriotic stars-and-stripes tie while wearing big black-rimmed glasses, the "Poker Face" singer joined a protest march which took place in Deering Oaks Park, Portland, Maine on Monday, September 20.

"I spent 48 hours trying to find the perfect thing to say," GaGa began her protest. "I do solemnly swear or affirm that I will defend the Constitution of the U.S. ... bear true faith and allegiance... TV titan Oprah Winfrey has shown off her generosity by handing over $6 million to organizations which help troubled schools in America. The talk show host donated the sum to six educational institutes in Philadelphia, California, Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana and Texas in a bid to boost their good work.

Winfrey's Angel Network charitable organization described them as "ground-breaking leaders in the provision of quality public education". The donation announcement came as the star hosted a panel of education reform advocates on Monday, September 20, which saw Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Davis Guggenheim, the director of upcoming documentary film "Waiting for Superman", support the cause.

American football player Kenny McKinley has been found dead in his Colorado apartment after apparently shooting himself. He was 23. Arapahoe County Sheriff's detectives are investigating the death of the Denver Broncos wide receiver, but initial reports list the cause of death as a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

An unnamed female friend of McKinley's discovered the body after returning from an errand with his child on Monday, September 20. A statement from Broncos owner Pat Bowlen reads, "He was part of the Broncos' family and will be greatly missed by our organization."

Catherine Zeta-Jones' representative has denied reports she will renew her vows with actor Michael Douglas to mark their upcoming 10th wedding anniversary. America's Star magazine claimed the happy couple was planning a renewal ceremony to declare their love for each other following the "Wall Street" star's cancer diagnosis earlier this year.

The 66 year old is currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment for throat cancer - and Zeta-Jones has been a constant support to her beloved husband. But the alleged ceremony to mark their 10th anniversary on November 18, 2000 will not be taking place. Zeta-Jones' rep tells GossipCop.com, "They have never had plans to renew their wedding vows."

Hollywood star Shia LaBeouf has regained full use of his left hand, two years after mangling his fingers in a near-fatal car crash. The actor had to undergo three surgeries to fix his smashed hand following a summer accident which saw his truck flip over and crush his bones.

LaBeouf had previously resigned himself to the fact his hand would never be the same again after the horrific incident, but he reveals he's impressed doctors and himself by making a full recovery. And it's allowed the 24 year old to perform all of his stunts for the forthcoming "Transformers 3".

Few days away from its limited U.S. release, "Howl" is previewed in some new clips. One snippet features flashback scenes as James Franco's Allen Ginsberg recalls his experience as a copy boy. The other clip, meanwhile, sees a footage set in a court room where his poem "Howl" is put on trial.

Kelly Osbourne has been confined to bed rest after injuring her neck. The singer and reality TV star admits she's in agony. Taking to Twitter.com on Monday, September 20, she told fans, "Been put on bed rest because of my neck it sucks i can't move."

But a leading Indian spiritualist has offered his services - and he's convinced he can "cure" Lohan and Hilton. Vir Balahara, who is reverently known as Virjee, retired as Director General of Income Tax of India and found "inner-light" when he was in his early 40s.

Sigourney Weaver is considering hitting the stage with her portrayal of aging stripper Gypsy Rose Lee after TV bosses put a planned project on hold. The actress carried out extensive research about the infamous historical figure but the TV drama is still to go before the cameras - and she's keen to try out her "Gypsy" on audiences.

She tells WENN, "It's still happening. HBO (network) bumped us because the new guy didn't want to do anything period piece. It's such a great script. We're still alive and kicking. It's hard to get something unusual done right now. We're trying to figure it out. We might do it as a theater piece first. It will give me a chance to do her act in front of a live audience."

Julia Roberts has been honored with a Lifetime Achievement award at a film festival in Spain. The "Erin Brockovich" star was the guest of honor at the San Sebastian International Film Festival, where her "Eat, Pray, Love" co-star Javier Bardem presented her with the Donostia Award on Monday evening, September 20.

The 42-year-old Oscar winner told the audience she was overwhelmed to receive the prize. She said, "What a fortunate woman I've been in my life for a variety of reasons. Rapper Kid Cudi has made a revelation during his recent candid interview with Complex magazine for its October/November issue. The "Day 'N' Nite" hitmaker revealed that he has become a first-time father earlier this year, saying "There's another thing people don't know. I have a daughter, born March 26th of this year. Her name is Vada, and she's f**king awesome."

Late rock legend Frank Zappa has been honored in his native Baltimore, Maryland with a bronze bust likeness. The statue, which was unveiled outside a city library on Sunday, September 19, is a replica of one which was erected in a public square in Vilnius, Lithuania. The new bust was donated to the city by Zappa enthusiasts in Lithuania.

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake joined Zappa's widow, Gail, and three of his grown children as the bronze bust was unveiled. The rocker's son Dweezil also performed with his tribute band, Zappa Plays Zappa. The quirky star lost his battle with prostate cancer in 1993.

Former Kenickie frontwoman Lauren Laverne is celebrating after giving birth to her second baby boy. The British singer-turned-radio presenter and her husband, DJ Graeme Fisher, welcomed little Mack into the world on Monday, September 20.

She announced the happy news on her Twitter page, telling her followers about the music she was listening to as she gave birth. In a post, Laverne wrote, "Just had a baby boy. Hale, hearty and beautiful, born to 'Sunrise' by Soul Savers & Bonnie Prince Billy."

Troubled actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi Quaid have been released from jail following their arrest for allegedly squatting in the house they called home. The couple was arrested on Saturday, September 18 when officials at the Santa Barbara County sheriff's department received a complaint from the owner of the property. When cops turned up to investigate, the Quaids insisted they were the rightful owners and had been since the 1990s.

The complainant produced documentation proving he had bought the home from another buyer in 2007, who had purchased the house from the Quaids years earlier. The couple was taken into custody and spent the night in jail, before being released on Sunday morning, September 19 after posting $50,000 bail.

"The Office" star Mindy Kaling is considering following Steve Carell's example and quitting the series to focus on her film career. Kaling, who is also co-executive producer and a writer on the U.S. show, will have the option to renew her contract later this year - the same time Carell's expires.

The funnyman has already announced the show's upcoming season will be his last, and the actress admits she's thinking twice about returning to the series as love-struck Kelly Kapoor. She explains, "I can see this season being my last. Right now, I'm hankering for new adventures."

John Lennon's son Julian Lennon has ended his long-running family feud with half-brother Sean Lennon and his former step-mother Yoko Ono, insisting "things are good" between the trio. Lennon's murder in 1980 reportedly sparked a rift between the siblings, with Julian and his mother left to battle Ono through the courts for a share of the singer's estate.

Reggae star Buju Banton will finally face up to the drug charges stemming from his arrest in 2009 - jury selection has begun, five months after he was initially due to stand trial. Banton, real name Mark Myrie, was jailed in December 2009 after he was caught allegedly attempting to buy more than five kilograms of cocaine from an undercover law enforcement officer in Sarasota, Florida.

The case was due to go to trial in April but was postponed until June before being delayed once more. Now the troubled Jamaican is preparing to answer charges including conspiracy to possess, intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the course of illegal activity, reports AllHipHop.com.

Hayden Panettiere has beaten out competition from Lindsay Lohan, Megan Fox and Kristen Stewart to bring the sensational story of convicted murderer Amanda Knox to the small screen. Funnyman Russell Brand has broken his silence following his Friday, September 17 arrest for allegedly attacking a paparazzo, laughing off the incident in a series of Twitter.com posts. The British star was detained on suspicion of battery after a reported encounter with a photographer as he walked through Los Angeles International Airport with his fiancee Katy Perry.

The pop star insisted he was simply protecting his wife-to-be from snappers who were trying to take an inappropriate "upskirt" shot of her. However, a source now tells the website the star took as much as five times the suggested dosage of Benadryl to help her sleep - but found herself throwing up and struggling to walk properly when she woke up. "Mad Men" star Elisabeth Moss' split from actor husband Fred Armisen is about to become official. On Monday, September 20, the 28-year-old actress filed for divorce in L.A. Superior Court, Entertainment Tonight confirmed.

In the divorce papers, Moss cited "irreconcilable differences" as the cause of the split and listed June 26 as the date of their separation. The "Get Him to the Greek" actress was also said asking to terminate the court's jurisdiction to award spousal support to Armisen.

Lindsay Lohan will face an immediate arrest if she fails to appear on a court hearing until 8:30 A.M. on Friday, September 24 now that judge Elden Fox in Los Angeles court revoked her probation on Monday, September 20, TMZ reported. Along with the probation revoke, the judge has issued a bench warrant for the actress' arrest.

Fox's move was made after Lohan failed her latest court-ordered drug tests. The site further reported that Lohan failed two drug tests, one for cocaine and another for amphetamines. Around three months before the celebration of New Year, Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas casino-resort has secured two big acts Jay-Z and Coldplay to ring in the upcoming 2011. The rapper and the Chris Martin-fronted band are set to play their own materials before joining forces for a live duet.

The concert is part of a three-day invitation-only festivity which is held roughly two weeks after the $3.9-billion resort opens on December 15. It will be broadcast on the hotel's 65-foot marquee overlooking the Vegas Strip.

Stevie Wonder is leading a campaign to translate billions of books into a readable format for blind people. The "Superstition" hitmaker, who has been visually impaired since shortly after his birth, told the United Nations' World Intellectual Property Organization that more than 300 million blind citizens do not have access to important science and history texts.

He is calling for a deal to encourage the trade in copyrighted books so they can be transferred into formats that are readable for the blind. According to AFP, the Motown legend told delegates in Geneva, Switzerland, "What I would like to do today is launch what I call the 'Declaration of freedom for people with disabilities'. It's a call to action, a plan that will empower the independence of people with disabilities by providing them with the tools to learn and grow."

"Smallville" actor Sam Jones III and his Playboy model girlfriend Karissa Shannon have reportedly agreed a deal to release their sex tape. The pair previously vowed to fight plans to release an explicit film of their bedroom exploits after the footage was obtained by Vivid Entertainment boss Steve Hirsch, who branded the tape "extremely erotic".

Jon Hamm suffered from chronic depression after the death of his father - and turned to therapy and antidepressants to cope with his sorrow. The "Mad Men" star, whose mother died when he was aged just two, was a 20-year-old student in Texas when he received the news his dad had passed away, leaving him parentless.

He was plunged into a dark depression following the tragedy - and only came through with the help of medication and therapy sessions. Officials in Nevada have confirmed Paris Hilton has agreed a plea deal which will see her sentenced to probation and community service following her arrest for cocaine possession in Las Vegas last month. "True Blood" could become the next big vampire movie after the sensational "Twilight" film series. Words on the street are, HBO is planning to turn the hit TV series, which stars Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin, onto the big screen.
