The actor directs and in the harrowing film about a teenager lured to a motel for sex by an online predator old enough to be her father, and he trawled through FBI records to learn more about the sick minds he was dealing with.
But he didn't expect to find fathers and husbands in among the sickos prowling for sex with minors in cyberspace. Schwimmer, who is a longtime activist with the Rape Foundation in Santa Monica, California, says, "A lot of these guys are married, have families. It's more frightening than the predator that's usually depicted in films, which is this weird, greasy loner that lives alone or with mum. The fact is that they are teachers, they are coaches, they're priests, they're professionals."
