Musicians Pete Wentz and Clay Aiken have filmed emotional appeals to help boost aid for flood-ravaged Pakistan. The stars, both ambassadors for UNICEF, have added their voices to the campaign to help victims of the disaster as floodwater continue to rise.

In two new public service announcements (PSAs), which show images of youngsters struggling to survive in the country, they say, "Right now, four million children are caught in the aftermath of the worst flood in Pakistan's history. Homeless, hungry, traumatized. They need clean water, medicine and shelter to survive."

Katy Perry is set to hit the small screen in the U.K. - she's in talks with producers to front her own show. The "I Kissed a Girl" hitmaker, whose funnyman fiance Russell Brand hails from Britain, is currently in negotiations with chiefs at the ITV2 network.

Speaking at the Edinburgh TV Festival, channel controller Zai Bennett says, "Katy is a target for us currently. She's brilliant, a bulls-eye person. We are talking to her management about various shows." Perry made her judging debut on British TV show "The X Factor" on Saturday night, August 28.

A representative for Ronan Keating has denied reports the Boyzone star has reconciled with his wife Yvonne Connolly after their marriage was rocked by affair allegations. Guitarist DJ Ashba claimed the festival's director, Melvin Benn, has long held a "grudge" against the band and Rose even threatened to cancel the band's Sunday slot at the twinned Leeds festival over the furore. Model-turned-actress Milla Jovovich is preparing to quit Hollywood to have another baby and be a full-time mother. "The Fifth Element star", who is married to director Paul W.S. Anderson, has been modeling since she was 11 and acting since age 13.

The couple shares a two-year-old daughter, Ever - and Jovovich, now 34, is anxious to settle down and give her little girl a sibling before the tot starts school. She tells America's Gotham magazine, "Once she (Ever) starts school, I want to stay in one place and be there to take her to school and just have a normal life."

Actor Balthazar Getty has "taken care" of a $96,000 tax bill after he was hit with a demand from officials at America's Internal Revenue Service (IRS). A $96,498 lien for delinquent state taxes was filed against the "Brothers & Sisters" star and his wife Rosetta Millington with the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds on July 27 but the couple has since reportedly paid off the debt.

Getty's publicist Susan Patricola tells The Detroit News, "They're not denying they had a lien. They're telling me it's taken care of and it's a non issue."

Paris Hilton has thanked her fans for their support following her arrest on suspicion of possessing cocaine on Friday, August 27. The hotel heiress was taken into custody in Las Vegas after a car she was traveling in was pulled over and cops found a suspicious-looking white powder in her purse. The substance was tested and proven to be cocaine, according to reports.

Hilton's attorney David Chesnoff helped get the star out of jail just hours after her arrest and he spoke out to stop critics jumping to conclusions about the socialite. Warner Bros. Pictures is developing a World War II film, Deadline Hollywood reports. According to the site, the studio has bought "The Battle of Midway", a pitch from Bruce C. McKenna who previously wrote the script for some episodes of HBO's "The Pacific".

Moreover, it is said that Warner Bros. has put the upcoming project on a fast track as McKenna is expected to turn in a script within eight weeks. The movie is rumored to carry a price tag of around $200 million and will be made in 3-D, with Akiva Goldsman serving as producer.

While media has been hyping "Only Girl" as the first offering from Rihanna's upcoming album, new report has just arrived, claiming it's a song called "Cheers" which will be the lead single. Perez Hilton who first spread the rumor said the song contains upbeat tune just like the rumored description of "Only Girl".

It's unclear whether "Only Girl" and "Cheers" are two different songs or they're just the same song with a name change. Melanie Brown's producer husband Stephen Belafonte claimed his marriage to the Spice Girls star is over. During a recent interview with Britain's Sunday Mirror, Belafonte confessed, "Dude, it's over. Mel's coming back to the U.K. soon - but I won't be coming with her."

"American Pie" producer Warren Zide has filed for bankruptcy after he was hit with a tax demand for more than $500,000. A $518,630 lien was filed against the moviemaker by officials of the state of California at the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds on July 14.

It was the latest in a string of financial demands dating back to 1999 for Zide - and on August 18 he filed for bankruptcy, according to The Detroit News. In court papers, the producer listed estimated assets and liabilities between $1 million and $10 million and creditors include the California Franchise Tax Board and America's Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Justin Bieber's tight schedule, which includes performing a series of concerts for his "My World" tour and appearing for guest stints on TV show, has taken its toll on his health condition. Tennis ace Serena Williams is stepping up her charitable efforts in Kenya - she is planning to build a third school for underprivileged children. The 28 year old tennis champion became involved in a school-building mission in Matooni, a three-hour drive from the capital of Nairobi, after she rose to fame - and now she calls the project "the best thing" she's ever done.

She has already built two schools in the area - where civilians don't have access to running water - and Williams has vowed to build another learning establishment by next year. She tells America's Hamptons magazine, "It was the best thing I've ever done. I always said winning all those Grand Slams was a dream, but when I opened my school in Kenya, that was the best feeling in the world because I was helping people who had almost nothing."

R&B sensation Taio Cruz has stormed to the top of the U.K. singles chart with his new track "Dynamite". The "Break Your Heart" hitmaker knocked "Green Light" by Roll Deep to fourth place, while Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie", featuring Rihanna, remained at two.

"Club Can't Handle Me", Flo Rida's collaboration with French DJ David Guetta, stayed at three as Katy B's "Katy on a Mission" debuted at five. George Clooney felt nervous filming sex scenes for his new movie "The American" because he isn't "that experienced" when it comes to stripping off onscreen, according to his co-star Violante Placido.

The actress plays Clooney's love interest in the film, which tells the story of an assassin who takes a break from hitman duties to spend time in a quiet Italian village. The pair plays lovers in the picture, and Placido admits her co-star felt apprehensive about shooting the saucy bedroom scenes.

The 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards has honored George Clooney with the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award for "determined commitment and efforts to increase awareness of human rights issues and spark constructive response to international crises," according to an official press release. And instead of making a serious speech, the actor accepted the honor with a humor.

"I have offered to go to south Sudan and have a wardrobe malfunction. But it was pointed out to me that I'm 49, and the consensus was that it would just be upsetting. And kind of sad," Clooney cracked as quoted by the The Huffington Post. "When the disaster happens, everybody wants to help, everybody in this room wants to help, everybody at home wants to help."

A spokesperson for Dame Julie Andrews has dismissed reports the veteran actress demanded a staggering fee to take part in a BBC tribute show on her 75th birthday. The "Sound of Music" star will hit the milestone in October and was due to celebrate her career by appearing on a U.K. TV special alongside several of her former colleagues.

Producers were said to have expected Andrews to participate for free and negotiations allegedly halted after she asked to be paid. But her publicist has shrugged off the rumors, insisting Andrews did not ask for a pay cheque.

Sandra Bullock has marked the fifth anniversary of the Hurricane Katrina disaster by helping to open a free medical and dental clinic at a local high school in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Oscar winner joined politicians, educators and school supporters for the ribbon-cutting ceremony at Warren Easton Charter High School on Sunday, August 29.

The free, full-service medical and dental clinic is scheduled to open this autumn. Her appearance coincided with the fifth anniversary of the Hurricane Katrina disaster, which devastated the coastal regions of Louisiana and Mississippi in 2005.

Comic Book Movie states, though an offer has not been put out for the 55-year-old "The Expendables" star, the studio is interested to get Willis to voice the alter ego of Ben Grimm. Actress Izabella Miko has filed for a restraining order against a fan who has allegedly been sending her sexually explicit messages online. The "Coyote Ugly" star claims Patryk Zubrowski has been following her across the country over the last year, showing up while she traveled through Los Angeles, Las Vegas and New York.

Miko also claims Zubrowski showed up in the Virgin Islands, where he tried to propose marriage, according to legal documents filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court and obtained by TMZ.com. Actress Brooke Shields is nursing a broken hand after injuring herself while preparing to star in a new play. The "Blue Lagoon" star has been sporting a cast over her wrist and last two fingers after slipping while rehearsing for her part in an upcoming Los Angeles stage show.

Shields' spokesperson tells People.com, "Brooke broke her hand during rehearsal for the musical "Leap of Faith". The cast will be off before previews on September 11. It was a minor break and did not affect the production schedule." Paris Hilton's lawyer has warned the media and public not to "judge" the socialite over her arrest on suspicion of possessing cocaine until the matter is resolved in court. The hotel heiress was taken into custody in Las Vegas on Friday, August 27 after a car she was traveling in was pulled over and cops found a suspicious-looking white powder in her purse. The substance was tested and proved to be cocaine, according to reports.

Despite snubbed in the acting category, "Mad Men" took the ultimate victory at the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday, August 29. Announced live from the Los Angeles' Nokia Theater, the wining of "Mad Men" over Outstanding Drama is the third time in a row since 2008.

"Mad Men" thus sent "Lost", "Breaking Bad", "Dexter", "True Blood" and "The Good Wife" to the curb. Falco is the winner of Best Leading Actress in a Comedy for Showtime's "Nurse Jackie". She said on the acceptance speech, "Oh, this is the most ridiculous thing that has ever happened in the history of this awards show. I'm not funny!". Parsons is the winner of the Leading Actor in Comedy for CBS' "The Big Bang Theory". "Now I know how much I didn't think this was going to happen. Some of you apparently voted for me. That was very sweet," Parsons said.
