20th Century Fox is going to turn Cillian Murphy to be an "I'm.mortal". The actor who has one of the key roles in "Inception" has been in negotiations to join the upcoming flick to portray an officer from an organization known as Timekeepers and described as "precise as the time he keeps," The Hollywood Reporter (THR) reports.

Amanda Seyfried is cast as the female lead with Justin Timberlake still negotiating his deal to star opposite the "Dear John" beauty. Timberlake's character Will is falsely accused of murdering a wealthy man when he is suddenly given a fortune and is forced to go on the run with beautiful hostage portrayed by Seyfried.

A closer glimpse to Kelly Brook's Playboy photo shoot has been released. Brook, who will have her sultry images fronting the September issue of the men's magazine, graces the cover with an umbrella, a bowler hat, a bow-tie, black lacy underwear and has her hands covering her boobs.

Zach Gilford, better known as MVP Matt Saracen of DirectTV's "Friday Night Lights", has found a new and regular job on television. The actor won a role on Shonda Rhimes' new medical drama "Off the Map" which would be aired by ABC next year as part of the midseason line-up.

The new series takes set in "la ciudad de las estrellas", a tiny town in the South American jungle which has one understaffed, under-stocked medical clinic. In this ensemble drama, five doctors who have lost their way will go to the ends of the earth to try to remember the reasons why they wanted to become doctors in the first place.

Ne-Yo has no plans to settle down despite expecting his first child later this year, insisting he "can't commit" to just one woman. The "So Sick" singer, real name Shaffer Chimere Smith, is set to be a first-time dad when he welcomes a son or daughter with Monyetta Shaw later this year.

After starring opposite Jennifer Aniston in "The Switch" which will grace U.S. theaters on August 20, Jason Bateman is apparently keen on teaming up with the actress again. The "Juno" star has revealed that he wants the "Friends" star to join the cast of "Arrested Development".

"Yeah, actually, there's a real good part for her in the 'Arrested Development' movie," Bateman says in an interview with MTV Movie News. Despite his recommendation, Aniston would have to prove herself to get the part as the 41-year-old actor says, "There's no offers on this one. She's gonna have to sing for her supper."

Bobcat Goldthwait is urging Hollywood executives to give up on plans to reunite the "Police Academy" cast for a new film, insisting the franchise should be rebooted with new stars. Movie bosses are bringing back lead actor Steve Guttenberg to reprise his role for another installment and his co-stars Kim Cattrall and Sharon Stone have also been asked to return.

But Goldthwait, who shot to fame playing zany Zed in the comedy, wants to see fresh actors suiting up to enroll in the new "Police Academy". He tells U.K. talk show host Alan Carr, "I think they should just reboot the series. I don't think they should have us old farts back."

Emma Thompson can't wait to see Audrey Hepburn replaced in a remake of "My Fair Lady" - because she's convinced the star couldn't sing or act. Thompson is currently drafting a screenplay for the upcoming reworking of the 1964 musical in which Hepburn played Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle.

Sandra Bullock thrilled fans at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday, August 8 after she was joined onstage by Betty White for a hip-hop dance-off. The actress received the surfboard-shaped Choice Movie Actress in a Drama trophy for her role in "The Blind Side" and was determined to do something different for her acceptance speech at the Los Angeles ceremony.

Another superhero could visit New Orleans, Louisiana in the near future. After Warner Bros. "Green Lantern" is shot in the city, untitled Batman 3 project which also comes from the same studio reportedly will also hold its production there.

According to Comic Book Movie (CBM), the studio wants to take advantage of the friendly tax incentives the city has to offer for the third "Batman" movie from Christopher Nolan. If the deal finalizes, almost half of the filming of "The Dark Knight" sequel could take place in New Orleans.

Although "American Idol" alum Fantasia Barrino previously dismissed allegations that she was having an affair with married man Antwaun Cook, new court documents filed by Antwaun's wife Paula Cook apparently don't say so. The petitions claim that Fantasia and Antwaun had an affair and even taped their explicit activity, Radar Online reported.

Paula, who entered the petition on August 4 to request custody of her and Antwaun's two children, said in the papers, "Throughout the course of their adulterous affair... Defendant/Husband and Ms. Barrino have at times recorded their illicit activity." Paula claimed Fantasia and Antwaun began their secret relationship a year ago.

Jane Lynch is heading to "Saturday Night Live" as a host. The depicter of Sue Sylvester on FOX's "Glee" will appear in one of the early episodes of the variety show when it returns for the 36th season this Fall. According to the Facebook campaign, her episode is dated October 9 but NBC has not released any comment.

Like Betty White, Lynch has a number of devoted fans who took the effort of creating a certain Facebook page to get her to host. Replacements' bassist Tommy Stinson is selling off a collection of rock memorabilia to raise money for the child victims of the Haitian earthquake. The rocker, 43, will hold the auction on his website later in August, with all proceeds going to Timkatec, a charity which houses and educates more than 500 children in Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti.

The items up for sale include an autographed bass guitar and two of his trademark, custom-made plaid suits, as well as a number of items donated by his rock pals. He tells the Associated Press, "We've got some stuff to auction off that I think will span all three bands I've been in, from Soul Asylum, Replacements, Guns N' Roses..."

The Native American activist who appeared at the 1973 Academy Awards in place of Marlon Brando insists the famous protest put her life in danger. The actor won an Oscar for his performance in "The Godfather" but he boycotted the ceremony, sending Sacheen Littlefeather instead to give a speech about the treatment and portrayal of Native Americans in Hollywood.

But Littlefeather, now 63, is convinced the incident put an end to her acting career - and nearly cost her her life. Speaking at a documentary presentation on Thursday, August 5, Littlefeather recalled how bullets were fired at Brando's front door when she went to visit him after the awards.

"Gossip Girl" star Chace Crawford fears he was "overprescribed" medication for Attention Deficit Disorder as a child - because he's not convinced the diagnosis was correct. Doctors told Crawford he suffered from the developmental disorder while he was growing up and he was treated with stimulant drugs - but he now wonders if they were necessary.

He tells Britain's Evening Standard, "I don't know, but I don't think I am ADD. Now I'm much more interested in knowledge and learning. I watch a lot of documentaries and news, I have a hunger for that. As a kid, I was more interested in daydreaming and friends."

Stephanie Seymour's estranged husband, media mogul Peter Brant, has auctioned off one of their prized Pablo Picasso paintings for $19.1 million to help save his company from bankruptcy. The retired runway beauty is currently locked in a messy divorce and custody battle with Brant, the father of her three children.

During a pre-divorce trial hearing in Stamford, Connecticut on Friday, August 6, a court heard how Brant had sold Picasso's "Le Baiser" ("The Kiss") during a sale in London in June, making a staggering profit on the $4.4 million the former couple originally paid for the artwork. Director Spike Lee has lavished praise on Sean Penn for his dedication to the relief effort in earthquake-ravaged Haiti, insisting the Hollywood star has given up every aspect of his luxurious lifestyle to help those in need. The Oscar-winning "Milk" actor co-founded the J/P HRO Haitian Relief Organization in the wake of the January disaster and has spent months in the Caribbean nation helping to distribute food and medical supplies and build schools and hospitals.

He has also set up a campsite in the country's capital, Port-au-Prince, to help provide temporary housing for an estimated 50,000 survivors left homeless by the tremors. And Lee has hailed Penn for his hands-on approach to the aid effort after joining the actor in Haiti to witness his work for himself, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Actresses Rosario Dawson, Jessica Alba and Eva Longoria have united to take a stand against new Arizona state immigration laws in a new public service announcement (PSA). Dawson recruited Alba and Longoria Parker to join a host of Latin stars to fight the controversial legislation, which gives Arizona police new powers to arrest and detain anyone suspected of being an illegal immigrant.

The PSA was recorded for the United We Win campaign, a collaboration between the "Sin City" star's Voto Latino organization and cable TV network Mun2, to encourage young people to get involved and fight for civil rights. In the ad, Longoria Parker says, "I haven't made it a secret that I'm strongly opposed to the Arizona law and I've been pretty vocal about it. It's unfortunate that this immigration issue has been on the national agenda for the past three administrations."

British pop star Cheryl Cole has scrapped plans to write an autobiography because she's still healing from her recent marriage split, according to a U.K. report. The Girls Aloud singer announced plans earlier this year to release a book of personal photographs documenting the history of her life so far.

Cole was set to write the official tome, titled "Cheryl Cole: My World", and release it in September. But she has now ditched the book following her split from soccer stud Ashley Cole, according to Britain's The People.

Rapper M.I.A. was forced to cut short her set at a music festival in England after 200 revelers rushed the stage. The hip-hop star, real name Mathangi Arulpragasam, was headlining the Big Chill festival in Herefordshire on Saturday, August 7 when she asked fans to join her for her hit Paper Planes.

But M.I.A. was left stunned when 200 members of the audience clamored over the barriers and officials decided to end her set early. A statement from festival organizers reads, "A spokesperson for M.I.A. thanked the wonderful audience at the Big Chill for the fantastic reception received."

Elton John's recent residency in Monaco was rudely interrupted one night when two women began violently feuding in the audience. The "Rocket Man" took to the stage at the Stars Room last week, performing five shows on consecutive nights from August 2 as part of the Monte Carlo Sporting Summer Festival.

But two rich fans caused a fuss during one gig when a 70-year-old woman became embroiled in an argument with a younger concert attendee. The estranged husband of former supermodel Stephanie Seymour has lost his bid to be exempt from submitting to random drug tests in their ongoing divorce and custody battle. The retired runway beauty's messy split from publishing mogul Peter Brant is set to go to trial in September, but the pair appeared in a Stamford, Connecticut court on Friday, August 6 for a pre-divorce trial hearing.

The court session was called by Brant's lawyers in an attempt to have the rules for regular drug testing altered. The businessman, who is challenging Seymour for custody of their three kids, wanted to be allowed to skip the testing because he's maintained a clean record since their divorce proceedings began in 2009.

Filming on the New York set of Joseph Gordon-Levitt's new movie "Premium Rush" was interrupted on Saturday, August 7 when a production assistant was allegedly headbutted by an angry local. Set worker Steve Lafferty was left with a bloody nose after he was confronted by 43-year-old Breffny Flynn as he attempted to prevent pedestrians from walking across the street in Manhattan's Upper West Side while they were filming.

Heavyweight resident Flynn reportedly flew into a rage when Lafferty told him he had to wait a few minutes to cross the road and is said to have shouted, "I live here! I pay taxes! Don't tell me what to do, motherf**ker! I gotta get to the store!" Flynn's wife claims Lafferty provoked the alleged attack by pushing him back, reports the New York Post.

One-time-reported lovers Taylor Lautner and Selena Gomez have come out as people of the "green carpet". At the night event, held at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, California on Sunday night, August 8, Taylor and Selena were awarded with Choice Red Carpet Icon, Male and Choice Red Carpet Icon, Female respectively.

Even before "Avatar" is proven to be a box office hit, James Cameron has stated that there will be a follow-up. The filmmaker has now affirmed that the sequel will indeed be made, but it still waits for the deals to be worked out. " 'Avatar 2'... we're still working on deals. We don't start the movie until we get the deals worked out. I'm making notes. I'm not sitting idle," he tells MTV Movies Blog.

The helmer further reveals that two upcoming "Avatar" films which are planned for the trilogy may be shot back to back. "We're actually talking about that. British rapper Tinie Tempah feared for his life after his harness snapped while he was parasailing with his manager in Greece last month. The star and his agent were enjoying the water sport during a holiday on the island of Corfu when the rapper had to crash land into the sea after the straps holding him up broke away.

And Tempah, real name Patrick Chukwuem Okogwu Jr., is thankful he and his manager survived the scary experience after reading about a man dying in a similar accident. He tells Britain's Daily Star Sunday, "It was scary stuff man. Suddenly the harness snapped and I'm holding on to my manager looking down. I was pretty scared. Rosario Dawson's mother is battling with former neighbors after reportedly trying to move back to the New York building she turned into a squat in the 1980s, according to reports. Isabel Dawson broken into the abandoned property with Greg, the actress' father, when they were 21 and the star was just six. The couple refurbished the tenement by installing plumbing and turned it into a shared squat.

Actor Clint Eastwood is the latest star to fight a decision to shut down the UK Film Council (UKFC) - he's written a personal letter appealing against the plan. The UKFC, which was established to develop and promote British cinema, has fallen victim to massive spending cuts as the country's new government attempts to curb spiraling debt.

More than 50 British actors, including James McAvoy, Emily Blunt and Bill Nighy, have signed a letter calling for a reversal of the decision, and now Eastwood has penned his own appeal to British politician George Osbourne.

Veteran newsman Larry King's ex-wife cheated death after crashing head-on into another car last month. Julie Alexander King, who divorced the TV star in 1992, was driving home in New Jersey on July 4 when she collided with a car carrying a family of four, who were driving back from a nearby fireworks display.

One male passenger had to be cut out of the vehicle and he's currently in a wheelchair with unspecified injuries, reports TMZ.com. A police spokesperson tells the website, "All occupants of both vehicles sustained injuries."

Pictures of Robbie Williams and his longtime girlfriend Ayda Field's wedding have been obtained by Daily Mail. The 36-year-old singer, who recently reunited with his former band Take That, wed the actress at his home in Beverly Hills on Saturday, August 7 in front of a small group of 40 friends and family.

Robbie and Ayda swapped vows in a 30ft marquee with a flower arrangement spelling out the word "Love" forming the centerpiece of the reception. For the special day, Williams wore a formal black suit with a white bow tie, while the bride flaunted a strapless gown with a gathered, full skirt. According to the site, the ceremony lasted for six hours.

Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor's time in hospital has been extended after she reacted badly to morphine. The 93 year old had hip-replacement surgery after falling out of her wheelchair at her California home last month and underwent a blood transfusion following complications.

Doctors were planning to allow the Hollywood legend to check out of the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center on Friday, August 6 but Gabor must now stay in hospital for longer. The star went into shock on Saturday and had a bad reaction after receiving painkiller morphine, according to her publicist John Blanchette.

A sequel to the controversial "Window Seat" music video which sees Erykah Badu stripping naked on the street of Dallas, Texas has been unleashed. The newly-premiered video is filmed to support "Window Seat" remix which features Rick Ross.

The writers of "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" are not going to let Lucy Lawless die that easily. The actress plays Lucretia in the original Starz series and her character was among the fallen ones in the bloody season one finale. Lucretia dies in the initial script but Lawless wins over the crew's heart that her character is now made "still twitching at the end".

Showrunner Steven S. DeKnight, at the Television Critics Association tour on Saturday, August 7, revealed that Lawless is a lock for season two. "Starz called, they wanted her to come back," DeKnight recalled. "I said 'absolutely not, she's gotta die, that's the way the story goes.' Then the next day I called up [exec producer Rob Tapert] and said, 'Rob, I've got an idea'."

Shia LaBeouf and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley have added a romantic sequence to "Transformers 3". The two were caught on camera lip locking when filming for the movie on the Lasalle bridge in Chicago on Saturday, August 7.

Actor Michael Cera feared for his life on a recent road trip to the Colorado wilderness after he and a friend got lost during a hike up a mountain. "The Other Guys" has ended the reign of "Inception" at North American Box Office. After being unchallenged for three straight weeks, "Inception" is forced to hand out the champion title to the comedy starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg.

Earning a bigger-than-expected $35.6 million on its debut weekend, the buddy cop film gives Ferrell his second biggest debut after "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" which raked in $47 million during its 2006 opening. The Christopher Nolan-directed sci-fi, meanwhile, adds an estimated $18.6 million to its domestic gross on its fourth weekend.

A brand new single from Weezer has been unveiled, marking "a new phase" in their career. Titled "Memories", it was debuted on SoCal's 98.7 FM and introduced by frontman Rivers Cuomo after the band performed at the US Open Surf Championships over the weekend.

"Memories" is the first single from their upcoming indie studio album "Hurley" which is going to be released in United States on September 14 via their new home Epitaph Records. The band's camp wrote on their official site, "This is the 3rd new Weezer album in 3 years, an unprecidented feat for the weez thats reminiscent of the olden days in the '60s when bands released new stuff on a tight schedule."
