Ne-Yo Writes Script for a New Movie

R&B superstar Ne-Yo has written a script for a new movie - and used the film's storyline to inspire his next album. The "So Sick" hitmaker is in talks with Hollywood bosses to turn his screenplay into a big screen picture, and is hoping to release an album and graphic novel based on its plot.

He tells Britain's Daily Star, "I developed a script and I'm in the process of getting a Hollywood studio to turn it into a movie. My new album is a series of songs inspired by the script that I wrote, but it's not a musical."

Nicky Byrne Hospitalized After Fighting With Kian Egan

Westlife star Nicky Byrne was hospitalized at the weekend after cutting his head during a playful post-gig wrestle with bandmate Kian Egan. The Irish crooners were performing in Liverpool, England on Friday, May 7 and returned to their hotel in the city to carry on the fun.

But Byrne was left needing medical treatment after a playful fight with Egan turned ugly when he accidentally smashed his head through a glass table. In a post on his Twitter.com page, he writes, "Thx (thanks) to all in Liverpool A&E (accident and emergency unit)!! I'm healing already and thx for all ur (sic) concerns."

Nicole Fiorentino Is Smashing Pumpkins' New Bassist

Former Veruca Salt star Nicole Fiorentino has joined The Smashing Pumpkins to replace bassist Ginger Pooley. Pooley, who toured with Billy Corgan's band in 2007 and 2008, quit the group in March to concentrate on motherhood.

Corgan pulled in The Electric Prunes' star Mark Tulin to fill in and launched an audition process to find a full-time replacement. The rocker's publicist announced the big news on her MySpace.com website on Monday, May 10.

Queen Plan to Leave EMI, Considering to Join Universal

Rockers Queen are planning to follow in Sir Paul McCartney's footsteps by quitting their longtime label EMI, according to a U.K. report. The Beatles legend parted ways with the faltering record giant in 2008, transferring all distribution rights of his post-Fab Four material to the Concord Music Group last month.

And the "Bohemian Rhapsody" hitmakers, who have been with EMI for almost 40 years and have sold an estimated 300 million albums through the company, are in talks with rival label Universal to sign a multi-million dollar deal when the band's contract with EMI expires at the end of year 2010, according to Britain's The Times.

Bono and former Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker were the big winners at the U.K.'s annual Sony Radio Academy Awards on Monday, May 10. The event in London honored the best of British radio talent, and Cocker, who began hosting a show on BBC 6 Music earlier this year, picked up the ceremony's Rising Star prize.

And the rocker hopes his win will persuade BBC bosses to save the station - which is one of a number of the corporation's radio outlets bosses are planning to shut as part of cost-cutting measures. He says, "6 Music is never going to be the biggest station in the U.K. but it would be devastating if it was to close. 6 Music isn't going to change the world - it just wants to make it a bit nicer."

Helen Mirren's famous name in showbiz has been honored with a wax figure at Madame Tussauds in London, England. On Tuesday, May 11, the actress has revealed the replica of her for the first time, accompanied by her director husband Taylor Hackford.

Wearing a red dress, the 64-year-old beauty poses next to the art work which is dressed in a long black gown. Taylor later joins her to admire the wax figure and lands a kiss on the cheek of the replica while Helen acts like she is angry to him.

Kim Cattrall Vows Never to Wed Again

Kim Cattrall has vowed never to wed again, because marriage isn't "necessary". The actress has been married three times and split from her last husband, Mark Levinson, in 2004 after a six-year union - and she insists there won't be a fourth wedding.

The "Sex and the City" star says, "I'll never marry again. I don't want children. I am self-sufficient. If I decide to spend time with someone then I will. If marriage means something to someone else then I guess it could be a... negotiated point. But I really don't feel it's necessary." Cattrall split from toyboy Alan Wyse last year.

But Edelstein insists turning 44 on May 21 won't push her to commit. She says, "Sometimes yeah (I feel pressure). The thing is that as a woman I don't think you can avoid coming to terms with the end of your fertility in your life."

Joan Rivers, last season's winner of "The Celebrity Apprentice" is making a comeback to the show to help Donald Trump in wilting down the contestants to mere 2. Joining her is Bill Rancic who won the first season of "The Apprentice". Together, their job is to advise Mr. Trump of which two celebrities should be sent home in the first round.

The May 16 episode starts right after the board room where Cyndi Lauper was fired. The five remaining contestants are brought back to the boardroom and questioned why they should not be fired. Trump says that he would fire one celebrity before Joan and Bill make their choices on two other celebrities. One celebrity's rude comment leads to a quick firing.

"Transformers 3" has apparently kicked off principal photography. Two workers at NeighboorGoods, Ben Brown and mickipedia, who witnessed the shooting in Sherman Oaks, California on Monday, May 10 have posted videos they recorded from their office.

The two clips actually show the filming of the same scene in which a silver car is thrown down an alley before it bumps onto the garbages. Brown also wrote on his blog that he saw "Autobot 'twins' zooming around" the location and "apparently, one or both of them will transform and beat the crap out of this tiny little car."

A brand new material from M.I.A. has made its debut on BBC Radio 1. The track titled "XXXO" reportedly is released as the first official single of her forthcoming studio album which will come out later this year.

Earlier last month, M.I.A. set tongues wagging after premiering a not-safe-for-work music video for a song called "Born Free". Directed by Romain Gavras, the video follows a group of U.S. soldiers who invade a town and hunt down readheads to be massacred on the desert.

Justin Timberlake is to open his new golf course in his native Memphis, Tennessee in July - and he reveals the place has very special memories for him. The pop superstar and golf fanatic is the brains behind the revamped Miramichi Lakes country club, which was the first place he learned to hit a ball.

He says, "This was the course where my dad taught me to hit a golf ball. I was really young, so all I really cared about was girls at the time. We actually have done some pretty cool things with this course; we had to re-do the whole course. We're the first course in America to be certified an eco-friendly golf course."

Holly Williams Serves as Volunteer for Nashville Relief Effort

Country singer Holly Williams has thrown herself into the relief efforts in Nashville, Tennessee to help restore the city after it was hit by devastating floods earlier this month. Severe storms in Tennessee left much of the state under water, resulting in the deaths of almost two dozen people and leaving survivors facing the daunting task of tidying up.

Williams was not personally affected by the floods but she decided to volunteer her services to local non-profit organization Hands On Nashville to begin the big clear-up. The star tells People.com, "It's pretty simple. You put on your rain boots and dirty clothes and go. They put us on a school bus and took us to Bellevue, one of the hardest hit areas."

The "Poker Face" hitmaker sparked fears for her health after she admitted to passing out three times during a recent concert in New Zealand, forcing her to lie down on the stage midway through a song.

Her tour promoter insisted the singer was just "tired and dehydrated", while GaGa put the blackouts down to jetlag. She explained, "I was so jetlagged, I got in the night before and the jetlag just really caught up with me. I passed out about three times on stage that night but I got myself to the floor. I'd rather die on stage than walk off the stage because I was going to pass out."

The generous hitmaker agreed to give his financial advice to the two families invited to appear on pal Oprah Winfrey's talk show, but when he realized just how much debt the family of eight and the single mother were in - due to the economic collapse - he offered to dig deep and give them the cash they needed to survive instead.

The cash amounted to more than $350,000. The two families had no idea they would be meeting a pop superstar on Oprah's stage - or that he'd be solving their immediate financial problems. He and Winfrey both fought back tears as the grateful folks hugged each other and sobbed.

But he insists he was just asking if the couple could be seated together.

He recalls, "We get up to the ticket counter and we're trying to get our seats together. As we walk up to the counter there's a crowd and we hear, 'Everybody just back off! Just back off!' So I walk up to her (airline worker) and say, 'Don't you mean back up?' And she goes, 'Yeah, you're right. Back up and back off!"

A source close to the dealmaking tells The Hollywood Reporter (THR) that the depicters of Emmet Cullen and Alice Cullen want bigger paydays that Summit is unwilling to provide.

Maroon 5 to Release New Album 'Hands All Over' This September

Maroon 5 have been readying their third studio album. It's called "Hands All Over" and scheduled to be released in the United States on September 21 with its new materials to be previewed during the band's upcoming tour which will begin on July 31 in Saratoga.

The album is worked on with the help from producer Mutt Lange. It is "kind of hearkens back to the spirit behind the first record (Songs About Jane) and is less like the second one (It Won't Be Soon Before Long) - or is a combination of both, the best elements of both all in one," frontman Adam Levine told Billboard.

Fans of "Modern Family" are serious when they criticize the show for not letting Cam and Mitchell show a little more affectionate expression. They have now set up a Facebook page called "Let Cam & Mitchell kiss on Modern Family!" which has attracted more than 3,000 people since it was created earlier this week.

Viewers noticed that Cam and Mitchell did not kiss like Claire and Phil in the 22nd episode airing May 5 when the spouses were reunited in the airport. Instead they embraced each other with a hug. In fact, never once in the show's 22 episodes have the viewers seen the gay couple kiss each other on the lips.

Less than a week before the U.S. release of "Robin Hood", Universal Pictures has released a brand new trailer for the movie. Containing a lot of action scenes, the video gives a quick look at Cate Blanchett dressed in an armor to join the war. Based on legendary character, the film follows Sir Robin Hood of Locksley, Earl of Huntington, who has returned to Nottingham after fighting in the Third Crusade and finding the oppression caused by the new Sheriff of Nottingham.
