The former star of The Fugees fears the international media covering the catastrophe and its aftermath is turning away from the worst scenes and giving TV viewers the impression that the relief effort has been a huge success.

The "Gone Till November" singer is grateful for all the aid sent to his homeland, but insists Haitians have a long struggle ahead - and he thinks footage he and his entourage shot of dead bodies left to decay on the streets will compel Americans, in particular, to keep helping after the TV crews pack up and go home. Jean says, "You're seeing a snapshot. What I did when I went down there, I went with a Flip cam, and what I want to do is, in the next two to three weeks, I wanna release a film through the eyes of Wyclef Jean, 'cos I want you to see it from my Flip cam, so you understand (what's going on) first hand."

Michael Jackson's father wants to investigate the death of his son and has filed papers in Los Angeles demanding the release of medical records. Joe Jackson is convinced the UCLA Medical Center documents will help him determine once and for all if anyone was to blame for the King of Pop's death in June 2009 - and how much he should sue them for.

Family members, including Joe, have accused the singer's personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, of the wrongful death of the star, but police have yet to charge the medic with any wrongdoing - and he has maintained he's innocent.

Rocker Steven Tyler has completed 30 days of "intensive sobriety treatment" in a California rehabilitation clinic after publicly acknowledging he was struggling with a painkiller addiction. The former Aerosmith star, who fell from a stage in South Dakota during a show last summer, is now undergoing a 90-day "residential day treatment program," according to a statement from the singer's management company, Tenth Street Entertainment.

Tyler has been spotted in the Palm Desert area in recent weeks, leading to speculation he has been at the fabled Betty Ford Clinic nearby. Last Saturday, January 23, he showed up at a Home Depot hardware market and sang two Aerosmith songs over the store's tannoy system.

"24" star Elisha Cuthbert has been handed the first season pass to her favorite late-night TV show after revealing she's a big fan. The Canadian actress shoots new show "The Forgotten" just yards away from where comedian George Lopez tapes his show - and on her first appearance on Thursday night, January 28 she confessed she has often attempted to sneak past security to join the audience.

Cuthbert, who plays Kiefer Sutherland's daughter on "24", told Lopez she was particularly upset when she failed to get access to his show when her idol Mariah Carey and crush David Beckham were guests. She told the host, "If I can get a free pass to come here and sit in the audience any time I want I will love your show forever."

Internet sensation Tila Tequila has set the gossip world alight by hinting rapper The Game is the father of her baby in a series of 'tweets', and then refusing to deny the story. The model-turned-reality TV star announced she was pregnant in early January after backing down from a pre-Christmas 2009 'tweet', in which she told fans she was going to be a surrogate mum for her brother.

Shortly after announcing the baby news, Tequila took to her Twitter.com blog and revealed the father was a war hero who fought in Afghanistan. She wrote, "(He) Served in the US ARMY 4 10 years & fought war in Afgan (sic) & got shot. Now hes out of Army after 10 years and is now a fireman and EMT!"

Mel Gibson credits his "Mad Max" movies with spawning Billy Idol and Duran Duran's road warrior 1980s look. He insists the low-budget George Miller films inspired pop videos and films.

The actor/director tells the Los Angeles Times, "Look at all the films that came from it, that took from it. 'Waterworld' was 'Road Warrior' on water and there have been a dozen others. Jessica Alba is taking Spanish lessons, so she can sign up for Latin movies and feel more confident when talking about her Mexican heritage. The actress admits she confused a lot of journalists when she first became a star - because she looked Latino but couldn't speak the language.

Her lack of Spanish led to criticism and suggestions she wasn't a true Latina - something that really upset the "Fantastic Four" star. Kanye West has had battery charges relating to a 2008 bust-up with photographers dropped after completing his court-ordered community service. The "Stronger" hitmaker and his manager, Don Crowley, were charged with vandalism, battery and grand theft after smashing camera equipment belonging to two snappers at Los Angeles International Airport on September 11, 2008.

In October 2009, a Los Angeles judge agreed to have the case dismissed on the condition that West and Crowley each performed 50 hours of community service. The pair also agreed to take an anger management class.

Jackie Chan reportedly will spread his wings in Bollywood. According to Mid-Day, the Hong Kong-born actor has been approached to play in upcoming action entitled "RA. One". If the deal is sealed, he will star opposite famous Indian star Shahrukh Khan.

"They are hoping Jackie agrees to be part of the film. The production house has sent him a detailed script with the action scenes and a brief synopsis of his character," a source claimed. As for the role that is offered to Jackie, reports suggested that he may play a scientist who helps Shahrukh fight off the bad guys.

Country music legend Willie Nelson was forced to scrap a concert in North Carolina on Thursday's, January 28, because of a hand injury. Nelson, who had carpal tunnel surgery on his left hand in 2004, was scheduled to play at the Duplin County Events Center in Kenansville, but severe pain caused him to cancel the show.

Fans were notified of the concert cancellation by the singer's daughter, who posted an apology to fans on her dad's website. The message read, "We have just canceled tonight's performance in Kenansville, NC. Dad's hand (the one he had the carpal tunnel operation on) was in pain, too much to play his guitar... Doctors say to just give it a rest. He is going to try and finish the tour... before taking it on home to Texas for ten days." She adds, "I'll keep you informed if there are any more changes to the schedule. The show is currently being rescheduled and we'll let you know the new date."

Despite criticism from outside parties and the protest from the cast, MTV moves forward with "Jersey Shore". The reality show that follows a group of Italian American living in the beach area of New Jersey will be back for a second season. The deal was finalized on Friday, January 29.

Earlier this week, cast members like Snooki, The Situation, Ronnie and Sammi have demanded bigger salary after the rating catapults high on the first season finale. They reportedly want $10,000 per episode each, a considerably huge raise from a few hundred bucks that they got when the series kicked off.

When performing for "Fight Cervical Cancer in Style" concert at Koko in Camden, London earlier this week, Sugababes suffered from wardrobe malfunction. One of the band's member Heidi Range got her outfit ripped around her shoulder.

John Travolta struggled through his mercy mission to Haiti this week, January 25 because he was left heartbroken by the extent of the damage caused by the devastating earthquake. The "Pulp Fiction" star, a licensed pilot, landed a plane in the Caribbean nation on Monday, January 25 to personally deliver food and medical supplies to the survivors of the January 12 quake.

The actor admits the trip was tough on him emotionally, especially after meeting one seven-year-old boy who had lost his entire family in the disaster. Travolta tells Us Magazine, "He was walking with a limp because he had been hurt. All he wanted to do was see the inside of our plane. We took him through and gave him treats and all that stuff. To think that he doesn't have a family now is pretty rough."

Victoria Adams is making her presence in America more and more often. The British singer and wife of David Beckham is again tapped to co-host "The View", ABC announced on Friday, January 29 morning. She once appeared on the talk show in September 2009 when regular host Elisabeth Hasselbeck was taking a maternity leave.

She will make the second appearance on Friday, February 17. Beside the former member of Spice Girls, "The View" will also welcome back Megan McCain, the daughter of Republican presidential candidate John McCain. Megan will be on duty February 4.

Courtney Love models her career on her late husband Kurt Cobain's former Nirvana bandmate Dave Grohl. Love is preparing to make a comeback in February 2010 as she embarks on a European tour with Hole, after recruiting a new band line-up and a new manager.

And she admits she looks towards Foo Fighters star Grohl as a model of success. She tells Britain's NME magazine, "I look around and I look at (Dave) Grohl. He's clean, his businesses are clean, he's clean, there's nothing corrupted, it's just... clean. I wish I had his lawyer but I don't. At the same time I feel like we have that kind of manager now that will keep things clean and who gives a s**t."

The night before the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards is held, Sony BMG topper and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Clive Davis will be holding a party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Ke$ha, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson and Maxwell are rumored to sing at the event.

"I remember from the past Lou Reed with Rod Stewart, or seeing Aretha [Franklin] with Alicia Keys. Hopefully this year we've got a lot of special events and special artists performing and hopefully it will be memorable," Clive told MTV. He then confirmed that Carlos Santana and Rob Thomas will team up for a cover of Cream's classic "Sunshine of Your Love". Courtney Love was so embarrassed by her "terrible singing" on a leaked Hole recording, she hired a vocal coach. The rocker was left red-faced after an early version of "Nobody's Daughter", the title track from the band's upcoming album, leaked on the internet and was ridiculed by fans.

Love admits she then recruited a voice expert - and insists her singing skills returned in just three sessions. She tells Britain's NME magazine, "(On) the song 'Nobody's Daughter', the one that went out on the internet, my singing was so terrible, I couldn't sing on pitch. So I found this vocal coach who taught me what my hard palette and my soft palette meant."

Natasha Henstridge from "Species" fame is not going to walk down the aisle with fiance Darius Danesh after all. The actress who was last seen on "Eli Stone" has broken her engagement to the musician/actor, three years after he popped the question.

"Natasha and Darius are no longer engaged, but they do remain friends," a rep for the actress told Us Magazine. The rep gave no reason of the split but a source said it was all about career. "They tried to make it work. They both really care about one another but their careers took them in different directions. Darius is spending a lot of time in the UK, as Natasha is based in Los Angeles. They are sad but they will remain great friends," the source said.

As if same-sex kissing scene between Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart in "The Runaways" is not racy enough, Floria Sigismondi said she could have done more if the 15-year-old actress were few years older. Speaking to LA Times, the helmer admitted that she actually wanted the role of Cherie Currie seen topless in the movie.

"There were a lot of things I couldn't do that I wanted to do," the 44-year-old filmmaker revealed. Asked about her desire that could not be fulfilled, Sigismondi said, "If I used an 18-year-old, I could've maybe had her topless ... just to give it a little more reality." Though so, she seems satisfied with Fanning and Stewart's works as the director called them "such pros".

Gay rights activists are campaigning for Grammy bosses to denounce jailed reggae singer Buju Banton - insisting he has "promoted the murder of gay people throughout his career". The 36 year old is nominated in the category for Best Reggae Album for "Rasta Got Soul" at Sunday's, January 31, ceremony - but will miss the Hollywood event following his drug bust in Florida in December 2009.

But Banton's absence from the biggest night in the music industry hasn't stopped gay rights campaigners from taking aim at the embattled star and his lyrics in controversial songs like 1988's "Boom Bye Bye", which promotes the murder of homosexuals. Members at the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation and the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center took out a full page ad in trade paper Daily Variety on Friday, January 29, urging organizers of the televised ceremony to denounce music "that promotes or celebrates violence against any group of people".

Kelly Rowland jumped at the chance to reteam with Nelly - she leaped out of bed and sped to the recording studio immediately after receiving his invitation. Nelly and Kelly teamed up in December 2009 to record "Gone", a follow-up to their hit duet "Dilemma", which reached the top of the charts all over the world in 2002.

And the hip-hop star insists he didn't have to work hard to persuade the Destiny's Child singer to participate in a sequel. He says, "We were in the studio in Miami and I called K (Kelly) and she was in the bed and just shot down to the studio... ."

French actress/singer Charlotte Gainsbourg is terrified of playing music on-stage - because she's convinced she'll never live up to her late father Serge Gainsbourg. A new look into "Smallville" two-hour event airing February 5 is shared. Although a preview has been given last week when the show is pre-empted to give the slot to "Hope for Haiti" telethon, this new one gives more look into one of the Justice Society of America's members, Hawkman.

A man named Sylvester Pemberton tracks down Chloe and tells her he knows about her team of superheroes and needs their help. However, before he can explain who he is, he is attacked and killed by Icicle (guest star Wesley MacInnes). Clark and Chloe's investigation leads Clark to the former headquarters of the Justice Society of America where he meets up with Nelson AKA Dr. Fate (guest star Brent Stait), Carter Hall AKA Hawkman (guest star Michael Shanks) and Courtney AKA Star Girl (guest star Britt Irvin).

Another sneak peek to romantic comedy "She's Out of My League" has been shared through a brand new age-restricted trailer. In the middle as well as toward the end of the clip, there are some racy scenes which also manage to generate laughters.

Legendary soul singer Etta James has been hospitalized in Southern California with a serious infection, according to her son. The "At Last" singer, 72, was admitted to Riverside Community Hospital about a week ago after being diagnosed with sepsis caused by a urinary tract infection.

According to Donto James, his mother entered a treatment program at the start of the year 2010 to receive help in kicking a dependency on painkillers and over-the-counter medication. She was transferred to another facility, which has not been named, before being taken to hospital where her condition deteriorated.

Veteran rockers AC/DC are set to pay tribute to former lead singer Bon Scott 30 years after his death. Scott died of acute alcohol poisoning on February 19, 1980 after he passed out following a night of heavy drinking in a London nightclub. He was aged 33.

The group considered disbanding but signed current frontman Brian Johnson as Scott's replacement - and Johnson is adamant a music tribute will be in place to mark the memory of his predecessor. He tells New Zealand rock radio station Voxy, "We're trying to think of something to do that's not morbid."

After selling copies of Stephenie Meyer biographical comic books, Bluewater Productions unveils the cover of its Robert Pattinson version. Slated to arrive in shelves in May this year, the 32-page comic follows the "Twilight" actor's career from scratch to his fame, introducing fans "to the many sides of Pattinson," the press release said.

The story is written by Kim Sherman and drawn by Nathaniel Ooten. There will be highlights of Pattinson's theaterical career back when he starred in "Tess of the D'Urbervilles" at London's Barnes Theater. Veteran rocker Billy Idol has become the latest big name rumored to be in the running to replace Steven Tyler as frontman of Aerosmith. The band revealed they will be hosting auditions to find a new member while Tyler takes a hiatus, with guitarist Joe Perry insisting the star won't be ready to tour with them until he recovers from a recent stint in rehab and a series of operations.

Lenny Kravitz was the first singer linked to the role, but admitted he would never take over from Tyler, while reports have also suggested former Queen star Paul Rodgers. Now Idol is rumored to be in contention, with Classic Rock magazine reporting he was due to meet with the musicians but pulled out after falling sick. A source tells the publication, "Joe said he wanted to talk to Billy about joining Aerosmith, because the band were having problems with Steven. As far as I know Idol did not show up due to having a cold."

There is a star gathering in the video shoot of Kevin Rudolf's "I Made It" music video. The likes of Lil Wayne, Jay Sean and Birdman, all of whom serve as featured guests, are coming to the set, joining the "Let It Rock" hitmaker.

Former Guns N' Roses star Duff McKagan has reportedly become the latest member of Jane's Addiction - he's rumored to have stepped in to replace bassist Eric Avery. The band reunited in 2008 after Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor convinced them to join him on tour - and they have also been back in the studio working on new material.

Lionsgate Films has unleashed a new trailer for "Why Did I Get Married Too?". Debuted by Yahoo! Movies, the video includes the scenes which have been seen in the previously released teaser in addition to providing a lot of new footage which highlights the problems in the characters' marriages.

Ray Winstone is planning to take time away from the spotlight - because he's struggling to land any new acting roles. The new ad of gay man dating site ManCrunch.com has taken the headline over Super Bowl itself when CBS refuses to air it during the game. A rep for the site has released a statement in response to the rejection which was considered vague.

Their protest is mainly based on the fact that CBS accepts an ad by quarterback Tim Tebow which promotes on a Christian group called Focus on the Family. "We are very disappointed that in 2010 such discrimination is happening especially given the fact that Focus on the Family is allowed to promote their way of life during the Super Bowl," the rep said in a statement.

New Line Cinema has shed light on the hope for third "Sex and the City" film. Despite report which mentioned that they have expanded the franchise again by planning "Sex and the City 3", Digital Spy claimed the studio's executives have denied the news as their representative said, "This is not true."

On Wednesday, January 27, The Sun came out with report that the second sequel to this Sarah Jessica Parker-starring film has been worked on though "Sex and the City 2" has yet to be released. "There is also a third movie on the go. It's under wraps for publicity reasons," a source told the U.K.-based site.

Zachary Quinto has been forced to dismiss rumors he's quit "Star Trek", after comments he made in a recent interview about "stepping away" from the movie franchise sent fans into a spin. The "Heroes" star plays Spock in J.J. Abrams' 2009 revival of the sci-fi saga, and is expected to return for a series of sequels.

But "Star Trek" devotees went into a panic this week after the actor's interview with Wired.com, in which he hints at a hiatus from the franchise, hit the internet. He said, "I'm stepping away from 'Star Trek' for at least two years - no movies, no conventions, no anything for a while."

"Pants on the Ground" will be brought to the red carpet of the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. Its hitmaker General Larry Platt is confirmed by his manager to perform the viral song outside the Staples Center before the gala ceremony is kicked off.

Larry Platt was previously hit by controversy over rumor that "Pants on the Ground" is not original. A singing group called The Green Brothers declared it's a copycat version of their self-penned track "Back Pockets on the Floor" which they created back in 1996.

The Feeling rocker Richard Jones has undergone surgery on his hand after he broke a bone in a fall last week, January 18. The bassist, who is married to pop star Sophie Ellis-Bextor, took a nasty tumble outside his London home and smashed his right hand.

After consulting doctors, the star was admitted to hospital on Thursday, January 28, to have the bone re-broken and set, to allow it to heal properly. But his bandmates are sure the rocker will be back in time for their next gig, at the Meribel Little World Festival in the French Alps in March 2010.

Proud father Matthew McConaughey introduced his new baby to the world by posting a picture of her at his official site. Vida Alves McConaughey was born Sunday, January 3 to Matthew and his partner Camila Alves who have had one son together, 18-month-old Levi.

Grammy Awards organizers have dismissed suggestions Rihanna was denied a chance to perform at 2010 show because she pulled out of the 2009 event at the last minute. The singer was due to sing at the prestigious ceremony in 2009 but scrapped her appearance following a vicious fight with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, which left her battered and bruised.

Rihanna recently confirmed she won't be taking to the stage at the 2010 event, and hinted producers deliberately shunned her because of last year's furore. She said, "We messed their show up pretty bad last year. They might be a little mad at me."

The first trailer for Warner Bros. Pictures' "The Losers" has been made available for viewing pleasure. Making its way out via MSN, the snippet introduces a band of soldiers who regroups to kill the person who has betrayed them.

The film follows a special black-ops team whose members originated from several different branches of the military. After being betrayed by their handler Max and left for dead following the conclusion of their operation, The Losers want to seek revenge and remove their names from a secret CIA death list by conducting covert operations against the CIA and its interests.

Rapper Lupe Fiasco has laughed off rumors he struck up a romance with Jessica Biel after the pair climbed Mount Kilimanjaro earlier this month, January 2010. Fiasco was linked to the actress, the girlfriend of pop star Justin Timberlake, after the charity trek to the top of the Tanzanian peak.

But while he counts Biel as a close friend, he is adamant their relationship is strictly platonic. He tells MTV, "She's a very lovely person. I do consider her a friend. She's very dope (cool), (a) very capable young woman. Very smart. But we are not dating or romantically intertwined in any way. But she's good peoples (sic)."

Four days shy of the final season's premiere, "Lost" is leaked about four minutes long. Making its way online, the footage is confirmed by ABC to be the official opening scenes of the sixth season which supposedly only kicks off on Tuesday, February 2.

Turns out the leaked footage was given to the winners of ABC's online sweepstakes where fans have to answer six random questions about the show correctly. The prize was handed out on Friday, January 29 in the form of a USB port inside a bottle which resembles Desmond's fail-safe key.

Fans are taken behind the scene of Akon's "Oh Africa" music video which is directed by Gil Green. The clip also showcases vibrantly-colored African visuals in addition to featuring Akon's performance with his collaborator Keri Hilson.

"The whole aura of it is so fun, the color, the painting and the drums," Akon commented on the video shoot. "It brings out all the cultural parts of Africa you can ever think of and it doesn't even seem like a video, it seems more like a work of art that just happens to be a video. I hope you enjoy the look behind the scenes."

The Rolling Stones star Ron Wood has checked himself into a rehabilitation center in London in a bid to kick his alcohol problems, according to reports. It will be the 62-year-old rocker's eighth stint in rehab, Britain's Daily Mail newspaper reports.

Wood last sought professional treatment for his boozing in July 2008, shortly after he walked out on his wife of 23 years, Jo, to be with his then-lover, young Russian waitress Ekaterina Ivanova. His latest rehab stint comes a month after he was cautioned by British police following a violent altercation with now-ex Ivanova.
