Corinne Bailey Rae Still Mourns Her Husband's Death

British soul singer Corinne Bailey Rae is still reeling from her husband's 2008 death, comparing her grief to drowning in an ocean. The "Put Your Records On" hitmaker became a recluse following the sudden passing of Jason Rae, a member of superproducer Mark Ronson's band, who died from an accidental drug overdose in March 2008.

She stepped back into the studio last year to write new music and even performed a one-off show in London in November 2009. But Bailey Rae admits she's still struggling with her loss and feels "pinballed around" by the different stages of her grief.

Green Day's 'American Idiot' Will Hit Broadways

Green Day's acclaimed "American Idiot" musical has landed a run on Broadway. The production will open at New York's St. James Theatre at the end of March 2010. The show, directed by Michael Mayer and featuring songs from Green Day's albums "American Idiot" and "21st Century Breakdown", was a smash-success when it opened at the Berkeley Rep in California last year, 2009 - every night of its eight-week run was a sell-out.

A statement from Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong reads, "Experiencing American Idiot onstage in Berkeley was incredible... The musical arrangements are breathtaking. We've so proud that the show is coming to Broadway."

Actor Ethan Hawke will always regret the day he botched an audition for a Robert Redford movie, because he was desperate to work with his "hero". The "Training Day" star reveals he once tried out for a role in one of the legendary actor's directorial projects.

Hawke refuses to name the title of the movie, but admits an unlucky case of miscommunication and his severe nerves cost him the job. He says, "I once auditioned for Robert Redford, a hero of mine, and I wanted this part so bad, I had this whole speech I had to remember and I was so nervous. I go in, and he knew my name."

A remake of Wes Craven's 1984 film with the same title, "A Nightmare on Elm Street" will see horribly disfigured killer Freddy Krueger returning to hunt suburban teenagers, including Nancy Thompson and her boyfriend Quentin, through their dreams. Trying to stay away from death, they struggle not to fall asleep.

Michael Jackson's Estate Owes 328,299 Dollars

Michael Jackson's estate has been hit by yet another creditor's claim - from an investment banking firm that handled the late pop legend's finances. According to the latest creditor's claim, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Jackson's estate owes over $328,299 in unpaid fees to Signal Hill Capital, a small investment banking firm based in Baltimore, Maryland.

Attorneys for the company claim the amount is owed for "financial services related to music publishing assets". According to TMZ.com, creditors' claims against the "Thriller" hitmaker's estate have exceeded $20 million.

Socialite Casey Johnson lay dead for days before her body was discovered at her home in Los Angeles on Monday morning, January 4, according to police sources.

The Johnson & Johnson heiress, who was reportedly engaged to reality TV star Tila Tequila, had a history of diabetes and twice slipped into diabetic comas, according to TMZ.com. Officials have completed an autopsy on the 30 year old's body and determined there were no signs of trauma on Johnson's body.

Lee chose the project because he is a direct descendant of Charlemagne - and he's thrilled to have the chance to take his career in a different direction. The actor says, "It's fascinating for me that, at this stage in my life, people are beginning to look upon me as a metal singer. When this comes out as a complete album, it's going to be sensational."

Alphabeat's 'Hole in My Heart' Music Video Debuted

Danish pop band Alphabeat have made public a music video in companion to their single "Hole in My Head". The video follows the group's male lead singer Anders SG as he is lying on the operation table and suffering from an unknown disease. Halfway through the video, it is known that the pain is caused by the existence of the band's other member Stine Bramsen inside Anders' body.

"Hole in My Heart" is taken from Alphabeat's second studio album "The Spell" which has been in stores across Denmark since March 2009. Serving as the second single, the track will be released on February 22, preceding the U.K. release of the album on March 1.

Gerard Butler Cleared From Battery Charge

Scottish actor Gerard Butler is in the clear following his 2008 bust-up with a paparazzi - a California judge has dismissed a misdemeanor battery charge against him. The Los Angeles City Attorney filed the charge against Butler in May, 2009 after investigating claims the "300" star attacked a snapper outside the premiere party for Guy Ritchie film "RocknRolla" on October 7, 2008.

The actor's representatives insisted the photographer was stalking the star, almost killing a pedestrian as he chased the Scot through Hollywood. The charge was dismissed at a hearing on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 after the actor completed community service. Butler faced up to six months in jail if convicted.

"American Idol" has started pushing the accelerator on promoting the ninth season. Beside releasing a bunch of the judges' photos earlier this week, the show has also started running TV spots that include the new judge, Ellen DeGeneres.

The competition will begin airing on Tuesday, January 12 on FOX with the Boston audition that presents Victoria Adams as the guest judge. B2K boyband singer J-Boog has been arrested by Los Angeles police on suspicion of domestic violence, according to an online report. The "Uh Huh" star, real name Jarell Damonte Houston, was taken into custody on Monday afternoon, January 4, 2010 after neighbors heard someone screaming in the house.

According to TMZ.com, the 24 year old was arrested for "corporal punishment on a spouse", but his legal problems don't end there - he was also wanted by cops for an allegedly bad driving record. J-Boog lives with his fiancee, Jondelle Michelle Lee, and their three children, ranging from four years old to two months.

'Law and Order: SVU' Taps Sharon Stone as Prosecutor

Just a day after Executive Producer Neal Baer confirmed that Mischa Barton would guest star on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit", it is reported that Sharon Stone would also jump into the wagon. Sony Pictures has prolonged "Spider-Man 4" holiday hiatus until an undetermined date. A source for the studio has confirmed that production for the film is being postponed. More bad news are getting on Tiger Woods' way with the latest claim of a sex tape. The pro golfer who is in the middle of a marital problem following alleged affairs with several women is claimed to have an explicit video of him engaging in sex with an unidentified woman.

The first to get the hand on the sex video is Vivid Entertainment's Steven Hirsch who told TMZ that the woman approached him in December to tell him about the tape. Hirsch's people have watched 30 seconds of the video but could not confirm that it was indeed Tiger in action. Hirsch is still trying to verify the man in the tape which the woman said was shot approximately two years ago.

Following rumor that a complete script for "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse" has been leaked, a screenshot of the first page of the blue script has been found by The Dish Rag. If it is really part of the script, Jackson Rathbone may get a call from Summit Entertainment soon as his name is stamped on the page, which means the property belongs to him.

Though so, the script does not reveal much about the film but suggests that it will be opened with scenes in which Xavier Samuel's Riley is going to be turned into a vampire by Bryce Dallas Howard's Victoria. There's apparently another bump along the latest edition of "The Bachelor" beside the reported backstage affair. ABC failed to air the "special announcement" that it has promised to air along with the season premiere on Monday, January 4.

Per Reality TV World, a spokesperson of ABC said the announcement was supposed to be a wedding date of Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski, the couple who emerged from the last season of "The Bachelorette". The spokesperson explained further, "They were worried about how the announcement would have affected their personal life, so they decided to pull it." The decision was made after Jillian and Ed talked to "Bachelor" producers.

Nine Inch Nails are heading back to the studio to record a new album, just months after sparking fears of a split by confirming their September, 2009 show was its last. Frontman Trent Reznor has also hinted fans will get an extra treat that "isn't Nine Inch Nails," but refused to elaborate on details of the side project. A funeral has been set for late Casey Johnson, the 30-year-old heiress of Johnson & Johnson empire and fiancee of Tila Tequila. Her body which was found lifeless in Los Angeles on Monday, January 4 will be "flown back east to her final resting place," her family's spokesman Jesse Derris said on Tuesday morning.

The funeral which will be held later this week, is private and attended only by immediate family. "The Johnson family wishes to thank everyone who has expressed condolences and support during this trying time," Derris said. "Your thoughts and prayers are deeply appreciated."

Leona Lewis to Hit Studio With Kings of Leon and Robbie Williams

British singer Leona Lewis is preparing to add an edge to her clean-cut act - by recording new tracks with Kings of Leon and Robbie Williams. The "Bleeding Love" star is set to hit the studio with British pop star Williams to record two new songs for an updated version of her second album, Echo.

The pair get on so well, Lewis' mentor, Simon Cowell, is trying to persuade Williams to join the former "The X Factor" champion on her upcoming arena tour, according to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper.
